The real problem is that these cars are not exactly made to compete with each other, since the BMW and MB were the LWB versions made for limo service. In markets where they are available, most drivers would choose the standard wheelbase S63 and 760i.

I think that would change the handling drastically to make a better comparison.

Interesting take on S63 AMG. Germany just makes the best sedans in the world. Period. The Porsche and BMW have better looking interiors here.

Good Review

I find it ironic how years ago in such a review the BMW would be the one with the smallest engine in terms of cubic capacity/cylinders with natrual aspiration and it would dethrone rival cars with engines which were significantly bigger and with forced induction. The S63 seems to have adopted that trait now while BMW has taken the oppositte.

My order of preference would be the Panamera Turbo > S63 > 760i

It´s true the design of the current S-Class lacks of the good design of the other two. I hope ercedes introduces a new design lenguage with their future cars.

The popularity of the S63 and the impressive sales of the Panamera will push BMW into bringing out a 745is of some sort of an M7. You can count on that. That's what happened with the X5. For years, MB and Porsche were making millions on the Cayenne Turbo and ML63 while BMW ignored the lucrative segment of performance SUV. Eventually they surrendered and the Motorsport department gave birth to the X5-M and X6-M

Crackin vid :t-cheers: I really love the S63 and its the one id put my money down for every time but i have to confess the Panamera is really growing on me, especially the interior.

Great video. The guy driving the car also seems pleasant and open-minded. A far cry from most of these stuck-up car reviewers we are seeing a lot lately off.

Love the Panamera, love the S63 AMG and love the new BMW 7-Series. Love 'em all! :eusa_danc

Gotta be proud being German these days (or the last 30 years or so :D).

Love them all really, not just to keep every member here happy but I really do.

Problem is the beemer is probably the least sportiest car of the group so not really that much of a fair fight. But all three are absolutely awsome. For me it would be S or 7.

I really hope so :eusa_pray

All three are stunning cars, and quite different from eachother! I like them all, too.

You mean the return of the Alpina B7?
BMW North America

With the 6er CS and/or 7er CS I doubt they think in giving the 7er sedan an M version now.

I think people should get over the 7er CS. The project was canned and there is no emperial evidence that the car will even come out in the foreseeable future. As for a four door 6er it will be a cool car but more of a Audi A7 competitor rather than a huge and spacious S-Class or Panamera rival. Correct me if I'm wrong but the 6er is based on the 5-Series, right?

I have full respect for Alpina cars and the B7 is a great buy, but it doesn't beat a fully BMW branded 750 M-Sport, M7 or what ever they would name it. Alpina is not a household name and marketing makes a really big difference for sales. BMW should put the X5-M engine to work under the bonnet of a 7-Series.

F13 6er uses the same platform as the 7er and 5er. I doubt about the introduction of a 7er CS, now even more, given the fact the CS is "old" and there´s a 6er CS under development that is based on a more up to date design style.

Panamera will be more direct rival to A7 and 6er CS than to 7er and A8 imo. A7/6er CS will be in the same price range, size, will be much more sporty than 7er/A8, will have less interior, etc.
6er and 5er are both based on the 'F01' modular platform...

BMW is already going to put a modified X5 M block in the new M5....no need for that engine in every BMW ;) If a performance model of the 7er would come, it should be a version of the new V12 TT with 600+ hp
