Pictures Big Sam's New Porsche Taycan

Cheers Gianclaudio. Hope things are good where you are.

Cheers Martin. It's been out of my possession for the last few days getting a machine polish and ceramic coating, so I'm looking forward to driving it across the Pennines on the back roads from Lancashire back to Yorkshire this afternoon. One fear I had is that it would feel like I was driving an appliance, but Porsche have certainly engineered enough of their DNA into the chassis to make if an "emotional" experience. I even like the Porsche Sports Sound!

The cruise control operation. It's a stalk on the steering column, a bit like my R8, but it works in completely the opposite way to the R8, so I'm cancelling it when I want to activate it, etc. It doesn't make a lot of sense in how they've set it up.

The little light which illuminates at night by the button for the central locking switch in the door. It's very bright and can be distracting.

That's it for the moment. I guess the only other thing is the constant fear it's going to suddenly break down, or the PCM is going to freeze. In fact the worry any function on the car is going to stop working correctly. On the Taycan forums, technical faults do seem to be a constant issue. Luckily I've had nothing so far.
