Vs Big Luxury Sedans: S-Class vs 7-Series vs A8

I fear the W221 interior will age badly as the one of the W220. Last week I loved it, but the more photographs of the A8 interior I see, the more dated the S-Class interior looks.

The W210 interior ages to much better. Here is the best interior layout out of all MB's on the market today IMO:

Very simple and eloquate lines with a classic layout. It is for this reason that I fancy the F01 interior, it's similar in design principle.

Well, I'm glad that's your opinion. I love the W221 interior, especially with the FL. Personally, it's second only to the new A8.

Im pretty sure the new CLS will adapt the new E class interior, just like the first gen CLS adapting the w211 interior.

back on topic: It's a hard choice between the Sclass and 7 series. In the end, i chose the 7 series because of the exterior looks. no doubt, the s class interior is a little better than the 7 series

Yes...IMO the interior of the S is a step above the rest. The A8, 7, and S all have expensive looking interiors but the S has the most elegant cockpit. To those who say that the 221's interior is outdated: I don't see that at all, but to each his own...

On the surface yeah. But deep down inside your hearts are bleeding because your worst nightmare has come true, BMW using the same interior for multiple cars. The layout, buttons, positioning of them and steering wheel for the F01 and F10 are exactly the same. And now you're on the fence having to play devils advocate while supressing the truth.

There is no truth to supress, the truth is too obvious to deny. Thing is, you're making it sound as if BMW fans have a problem with that. But most don't because it has been like that in the past too. I don't have to post any E38 vs E39 interior pics I'm sure. You know it's maybe even more similar than 5er vs 7er in 2010

Totally agree...one look at the S interior and it's hard to settle for anything else...

in fact germans magazines think so too. Its obvious many Benz supporters feel threaten by the new 7er, thats why they use 'cheap jokes'.

Hehehe, you guys just enjoy the horror that is the inside of a modern Benz (E, E-coupé, CLS 2), and S to lesser extend e (I kid, it's not that bad. But still the worst MB interiors so far)
I'll be more than happy in my 7er 'truck/van' interior. LOL.


Just a 'simple' 730Ld with alu. Not some new A8 with Euro 20,000 options to make it look pretty:





BTW, Yaz, X5 is sharing some design ideas with 7er for sure. You can clearly see the interiors are from the same brand....but to say it's just a better version of the X5? Nah. It's more than that.

Because, in this segment, what matters is:
Comfort: And S class has the best of them all (best suspension setup and best seats).
Quitness: S class is the quitest (based on personal experience)

I really like the new interiors from BMW, but please guys for future reference, next time posting interior pics for any new BMW, just mention which car is it on top or below the pic, in order to eliminate the confusion.
