The problem with the W221 is the same as with the E65, the design, too boxes and compartiments and not many buttons.

Oh my favorite segment.....

A8 - The previous model was a delight. Elegant and design in a way that no one with common sense would dislike it. The new one on the other hand is more of the same with a A4 twist. That suck and requires me to give it a MAJOR deduction. And the fact that it has the same interior plus a few options is just awful. Very upset with Audi right now. If it weren't for the A5, Q5 and R8, I wouldn't respect them at all.

7-series - It's a nice ride. BMW is finally looking better and better. Love the interior and front grill.

S-CLASS - The BOSS of them ALL. Even though it's the oldest out of the three, there is one car that wears the crown of Germany....The S65 AMG! My favorite car on earth!

My vote goes to the 7er. Very fresh and nice car with fantastic interior! The S comes as close second, because it's classier, but the interior is not my cup of tea, not am I sold on its design.

The A8 is a dissappointment, since it's like a bigger A4, even though it has such a nice interior. That has to be said. Very very nice interior!

The front of the BMW..looks like a pig nose, the interior is by FAAAAAR the most shitty when it comes to design here, if bmw fans can complain about the exterior design of the A8 being to similar to other audis..then they should just STFU about the interior of the 7er...

The interior is shitty..
And yes the MB interior was influenced by the E65 i admit that
now you can admit that the 7er interior is to similar to the other BMW´s..

And if you cant..then please dont complain about the A8´s exterior design..
Its the exact same case..

With pink ambiente light! Looks fantastic!! And the Sport-Comfort seats with 65 AMG style - stylish…but damn, wish the exterior would have looked more special and not like a A4…

That is my issue as well. For once I would like Audi to take a chance and do something difference. This more of the same gets old after while. Why are they so scared to do something different. If Bentley could take a chance by redesigning the Arnage and creating the Mulsanne then so could Audi. VAG bosses need to step in or something. They are getting way to comfortable over at Audi.

Worst thing is they delayed the A8 from frankfurt so I just new there would be some kind of WOW factor...nope we get a A4 Value sized.

But Mike, don't you get tired of the same thing? Yes, the design isn't bad, but it's the same thing. Plus if your going to pay 30k to 40k more for a car, it shouldn't look like it's baby brother.

I would be lying if I said I wasn't underwhelmed by the way the A8 looks, but at the same time I'm happy they didn't go for something 'adventurous'.

No this is more similar than the E and C..
But CL and S..are the same modell my friend.. the CL is the coupe of the S
Its like 3er sedan and coupe.. near identicall interiors.. not an issue imo..
And everything is relative, for the price of a 7er..I dont want simialrity with others.. not as much as the 7er.. and at the same time i want it to be more WOW.. its very strict and cold.. Emotionless.. German in the wrong way ..
We are talking about 100000 euro cars here..

BUt if you dissreagard the price... then ofcourse its a smashing interior..probably one of the best cockpits to sit and operate a car in..
A dream for most...

Exterior

Audi - New A8 is a disappointment. A new car should look better than previous model and I think previous A8 is more pleasing to my eyes than the new one. I don't like the lights inside the frontlights.

Mercedes - better exterior than the new A8. I'm allergic to the wheel arches on the S-class but overall more attractive than A8.

BMW -It looks much better than E65. More elegant and harmonious lines. Big kidneys gives the car character and attitude. The point with a luxury car is that the car should have attractive design and 7er looks the best here.


Interior

Audi - Nothing to complain on. Top notch interior. Good layout and interior looks modern and fresh.

Mercedes - Interior has never impressed me. Interior really looks out of date. The interior is leaving me cold, even the new E-class destroys the S-class here. Mercedes is far behind the competition.

BMW - Just like the interior in A8 there aren't much to complain on. Very modern and elegant. Its great the driver oriented dashboard is back. Feels like heaven to be inside the new 7er.


Overall verdict
My favorite luxury car is the new 7-series. It looks good from the outside to the inside. Its a perfect mix between sport and comfort, a balanced package. Owners seem to love the car. It's good for long trips and a nice drive.
I think the new A8 is going to be a good alternative to 7er/S-class. Dont underestimate the car. Also its the lightest car and probably more agile than the two others.
