Grindhouse. I'm a Tarantino fan, so .... :t-roses:

Elizabeth: The Golden Age is also a spectacular movie.

Who cares if I'm late to this thread, it's still 2007 and I had 7 more days to cast my vote :D

...Where's Potter? (j/k)

Damn...I'm sorry. we need to change this poll.

I just saw "I am Legend" this weekend. Now that was a great movie.

The movie I most enjoyed watching this year has to be Elizabeth: The Golden Age. Transformers and Pirates were good too. In different ways. All of the movies listed were high grossing films does anyone watch smaller (and usually better) films?

Just finished watching "The Kingdom". What an amazing movie. Gonna go rent Harry Potter now, ahha

You think I Am Legend was good???

I saw it on IMAX when it came out, and I was disappointed.

Good actor, thin plot, did not go into detail about exactly what was the deteriorating factor, did not go into detail about past when it would switch from the present, did not end well-as a matter of fact, it ended quite short of the finish line. So much more could have explained, what happens afterwards, and the hero didn't have to-well, you know. Don't want to say if some people are interested in seeing it.

Overall, me and my audience left feeling a bit unenthusiastic.

agree with Jade,

I am legend sucks big time. Not only was the ending terrible, but the CGI were off, and the film leaves you feeling completely empty.
I won't give things away, but that ending was completely out of context, felt like it was made by a focus group under a deadline to deliver. It would have made more sense if they had simply followed the storyline from the book.

If you want a good movie from the same genre, watch 28 days later ( don't bother with the sequel)

also from the list above, Hot Fuzz is the best movie up there by far.
I'd understand it if American audiences didn't quite get it since there sense of humor falls more along the lines of will ferrel & co
In a nut shell, Hot fuzz really had all the right components to make it a very witty comedy and a decent film that holds up together from beginning to end. I think that's something you rarely come across with most of the crap that hollywoood is turning out.

Jade Vetti and DocM...C'mon guys. It was a good movie. how was the ending bad. The ending had to be that way for the character. c'mon guys, it's in the name: "I am Legend". That was expected.

No, it did not have to end that way. Didn't he find the cure? He was already legendary! But it wasn't just that, even though the ending just put the icing on my cake, and it made me realize that my popcorn had well long been gone and eaten. It was everything. The thrill parts were good. I jumped when my neighbors screamed, and cringed into my chair afraid to look at the screen. I'm talking about overall, it was-empty, loose, far from enlightening...

Look, if I have to give any movie the blink-blink effect (where the screen darkens and I'm still just sitting there blinking long and hard), then it is not a good movie, and oh so far from great. Like I said, good actor, and the thrill was there, but the overall plot, and story, and climax, and-well, we can keep going on. But you catch my drift. More power to you Naruto if you loved it, you must have been the only one cheering and excited in the theatre when it was over (lol). I was too. I couldn't wait to tell everyone how it had surprisingly fallen short of many expectations.
