What is the Best Exotic Sports Car Company??

I really don't think of Porsche being "exotic" per say, especially now with the Cayenne and Panamera. Between Lambo and Ferrari, Ferrari is the one with the innovation, engineering and image of course racing history. On the road I was starting to put Lambo over Ferrari since goofy 612S and funny looking California, but the new 458 Italia has restored order at Ferrari. Can't really take anything away from the Gallardo and Murcielago, but Ferrari has just trumped them with the 458i IMO.

Porsche is the more disciplined, engineering focused sports car company. Ferrari is the same, but more romatic/passionate in the details.

Nearly impossible to pick a favorite among them. They're all winners.

No doubt, Lambo it is! Imo, Carrera-Gt is the only (proper) exotic/super-car from Porsche!

In comparing base models; Carrera, Gallardo and Italia, I think Porsche is lacking a bit. Moving on towards the more special models, the German kind of gains on the others.

IMO, Porsche doesn't make "Exotic Cars".

It's a hard choice, but I'd have to go with Ferrari for the sheer number of cars they've made vs. Lambo's constant tweaking of the same car. Right now Ferrari offer's many choices in cars where as Lambo only offers two choices.

IMO Lamborgini's usually look (and feel) more exotic, but Ferrari uses more exotic technology. I can't think of another company that directly translates F1 tech into their street cars than Ferrari. And no Porsche with the exception CGT and 959 are not exotic - and I don't mean that in an insulting way - cool thing about Porsche is it offers exotic performance with a good dose of daily usability.

The word exotic puts great deal of subjectivity into the idea of who makes the best exotic sports cars. In the generally accepted sense of the word, Porsche does trail the Italians for outright exotica status.

A 911 isn't exotic. It's too everyday - no matter how special the derivative e.g. GT3 RS, 911 SC. As such, it's in this that the appeal of the 911 lies. As for Cayenne and Panamera? Exotic? No.

Frankly, an SLR is more exotic than any Porsche on the market today. It's as much about looks and physical drama as it is about performance.

Yes, by that standard, Porsche competes in the same leauge as, for instance, Lotus.

Everyone of these companies is different from the other, no one of these is better than the other!

They all offer different driving experiances.

Ah NO...I truly don't believe Porsche even belongs in this poll. The reason it is here is because I kept noticing comments about Porsche being better then Lambo products. And NO...this is about the COMPANIES cars in general, NOT just the cars posted!

...and in that particualar case, we are all waiting for Porsche to top itself. In a weak moment, I was actully thinking that Porsche was using the GT to make a move towards a general mid-engined layout.

Exactly. A reasonable person would never buy a Lamborghini over a Porsche. Right? But that is not what this poll is about, because a Lamborghini is never bought because of reason, it is bought because it matches your shirt.
