What does more dynamic mean? Isn't that the same thing as being sporty? I understand the more balanced part.

Sure is, which is why its very very surprising they would say the E is more dynamic than the 5. Very Very hard to believe it can be both more dynamic and more comfortable unless those MB engineers really have produced a miracle.

Last time I belived AM&S was before they compared the M5 to the CLS55 AMG (this being on of the very first tests) and they've chosed the CLS.

After that I stoped beliveing in AM&S Germany.

Waiting to see a proper non AM&S/non-german test.

The article says FL E-class is more dynamic than pre-facelifted model, not that it is more dynamic than 5er!!!

Either way you can`t go wrong with either of these cars. I`ll admit that..

last time AMS tested 550i vs E500, the E500 was without the facelift and the new engine but the bimmer still lost. Would be weird if AMS thought the facelifted E-klass was worse than the old one

I say of course it is. The sportpackage for 5er is stiffer than a 5er without the sportpackage. So why should the sportpackage for E-class be different?

I have not read the specs on the MB sport package for the f/l E-Class.
I do however know that all f/l E-Class cars are equipped with Direct-Control
as standard. If the new Sport package improves on Direct Control your going to pay some big bucks for it.

Let me add more text here, if this really is the case then AMS is biased. We need to see more tests between the two
to draw a logical conclusion.

They have a tendecy to like Mercedes. Check the first thread about this review were the thread creator asked about who won and I answered to him that my money is on the E500. I was obviosly correct.

The swedish version of AMS usually declare BMW as a winner when BMW and Mercedes are involved. I think its obvious german and swedish AMS have their favorites. Their result arent often a surprise if you have read there carmags before.

So yes, I say german AMS should join MB fanboy club and swedish AMS should join BMW fanboy club
