That's a nice pic, this shows how much more presence the new 7er has compared to the S class.

Yeah been reading like half the posts in this thread and I must say that some people really are biased IMHO. The new 7er looks sporty and sleek yet it has great presence. Who ever claims that this car looks 'fat' or something similar just has no idea what he/she is talking about. Comparing this new 7er to the W140 is simply insulting. But if people feel that way fine by me but keep it nice.
IMO the new 7er looks great on pics and I can't wait to see it IRL cause everybody that has seen it IRL is really aroused by it, even some hard core MB fans and that is what the design of this car is all about, gaining customers that now drive S classes and A8's (Actually gaining back the customers the E65 7er forced to go elsewhere).

Seriously, the S looks like a really old car suddenly...the proportions of the 7er are so much better, it's not even funny.:bowdown::bowdown:

The S-class looks chubby at best. I'm so happy.

^Well as Tine said earlier the cars in that are not aligned together hence the bigger look of the 7er and the car is spanking new which explains the fresher looks but IMO the has better executed design inside out and doesn't look out of proportion like 7er in some angled shots.

The 7's nose really does look like the snout of a a certain filthy farm animal.

Trolling like this seems to be ok. I will remember. If the mods don't do anything about certain MB fanboys in the BMW threads, I swear I am going to do the same in the Mercedes threads.

You can dish it but can't take it klier? Go ahead, we're waiting for you in the W212 thread. :D;)

Nah, you are better off just ignoring the troll. Yeah, I too wonder why he doesn't get banned, may be cause of all the copy-paste jobs he does.

Ok I apologise if that is considered trolling.

To restate my opinion in a non trolling manner, I think the 7 is quite attractive and has some great design details, however I do think it is somewhat ill proportioned from certain angles and the kidney grill can look very awkward as well. Of course seeing it IRL may change my mind complete. The interior detailing looks leaps and bounds ahead of the old car, that metal running through the aircon vent is an awesome touch.

The S-class face lift should be able to keep neck and neck with the 7.

If expressing one's opinion is considered trolling then we all should the hell up about anything and just play happy about the looks of everything and celebrate being the most boring forum online:usa7uh:

You u don't have to apologize about anything,u were stating ur opinion and if anyone can't handle it he can always ignore it or express the same about the competition :D

Bingo. Agreeing with or general agreement isn't a perquisite for posting in a BMW thread. Such a notion is absurd. A new 7-Series is a huge event for anyone that likes cars or is a car enthusiast, doesn't mean you have be in love with a new car when it is introduced either. It's specious.

There is a difference between expressing one's opinion and regurgitating the same thing in an abrasive manner in multiple threads. Funny thing is Tarek, I am sure you know the difference cause you do a good job of not doing it, others don't.

Know what u mean, but i still don't consider it trolling,he expressed it he way he liked and if we don't like it we do the same or simply ignore like most of us:usa7uh::)

I do consider it trolling.
I don't go to every single thread about a certain MB and point out (in a rude way) what I don't like..... Trust me, if we all start doing this, the forum becomes a very nasty place to be.

But, Mr Mercedes apologized and I am happy he did! That makes it history for me, no hard feelings

Trolling isn't always such a bad thing.

Klier, you know I like and respect you but you are hardly in a position to criticize anyone for trolling -- some of your comments in the MB section are extremely biased and deliberately antagonistic -- mostly they make me laugh -- you should do the same next time one of the Merc fanboys makes a comment you find "difficult" to swallow.

La la la just trolling along .....

If people would just stop commenting on things like this we wouldn't have the problem in the beginning. Learn to ignore and move on. If you don't feed the fire it will eventually diminish...

This site is turning into a BMW vs. Mercedes Benz vs. Audi forum. I don't like that thought of that...
