They also mentioned that the RS4.0 could be a second quicker if it hadnt its tiresproblems!!!! When you consider the new one has PDK, 4WS and newer tires...I would say not bad to lose 0.5 seconds on a car with newer tech!!!!

The 997 RS4.0 was the ultimate super duper GT3 of its generation, costing considerably more than a "standard" GT3.

With the 991 "standard" GT3, more than one magazine has pitted it against the 997 RS4.0. The proper "fair" comparison would be to the 997.2 "standard" GT3. But despite the higher weight, lower HP/torque and lower cost of the 991 GT3 compared to the RS4.0, it still performs at a better, or at worse, equal level. That's called progress, in my opinion.

I just hope that Porsche fixes the engine issues with the 991 GT3 soon........

These are for sure are 2 of my dream cars, the finest most purest Porsche cars ever built. I can imagine the thrills and excitement of taking both around a nice track and witnessing them together like this must have been sheer motoring heaven for those ABSC test team!!!
