Not really. The world record is 411 or something by the SSC Ultimate Aero thingy.

Anyway, I think these one trick ponies have nothing on the Veyron.

The Veyron ... I think it is one of the most beatiful cars in our times ... but the performance of the Veyron is only reachable with a special key. After you unlocked the 375kmph+ mode with a special key the car goes into TopSpeed Mode ... but only so long a s you step on the brakes. Then it goes back into normal mode. You can read it on their homepage:
"The Veyron starts immediately at top speed mode, allowing only for a limited turn of the steering wheel. As soon as the driver brakes, the Veyron automatically switches to handling mode."
Anyway ... the GT9 is build as a Streetgoing racecar and the veyron is a total different conept.
