If JD Power is showing a manufacturer is having quality problems, then clearly a large portion of owners are experiencing quality problems. If you go to a Message Board and see lots of problems, then you have further proof. Not sure about the 3-Series, but it's clear that several new BMW products are low on the quality/reliability, on an average scale, with of course exceptions.

The owners have to register their cars with ID numbers, then fill in their reports, experiences or issues about the vehicle. Then turn the reports in to JDPower.

Some ppl act like JD Power does this themselves.

Exactly. Which is why I laugh when you use anecdotal evidence based on a few people to back up your argument, and then dismiss a survey based on the evidence of thousands of people undertaken by a professional survey organisation.

Oh no , not another JD Power survey thread again Thats just for the American market and not the rest of the world. My father had his E90 for 4 years now and so far only one single fault and his co-workers had their E90 for some time and the realibility is high.

Problem is that I always been against JD Power (or any survey for that matter), even at the times when BMW did good. So this has nothing to do with BMW. Sorry GTA but nice try though. Now, lets stay ontopic.
