Q3 / RS Q3 Audi Unveils RS Q3 Concept: 2012 Beijing Auto Show

The Audi Q3 is a subcompact luxury crossover SUV made by Audi. The Q3 has a transverse-mounted front engine, and entered production in 2011.
That is disappointing, as it's such a massive improvement on looks over the standard ( in and out ) , a diesel RS would be a big seller.

Maaan. That car is seriously hot. I really dig it. Audi should bring it on very quick, and shorten their waiting time for an RS car in the car life circle.

Yes, this car is really hot, and Audi should bring out their RS versions much earlier. Mercedes AMG are available almost from start, BMW M has improved, but Audi RS is yet slow (RS4 B8). I would like the RS Q3 to come out as it. Also, I do not agree a diesel would have more punch. They would not be able to put a V6, and the best Audi has is a ~200 PS I4. Also, there is nothing better than a turbocharged I5 by Audi with Quattro. I had a NA I5 on one Fiat, and I loved the sound, not I6 smooth, but very peculiar sound, some hints of V10.

Yeah, they should do it more like the did with the A5. They presented the S5 at the same time. Then, let a year maybe a year and a half pass, and bring the RS model on. But nah, they didnt. RS5 came way to late. This is IMO Audis biggest problem.

Subtle changes that makes a HUGE difference IMO. The standard Q3 can look bland and too soft, this however looks macho and eye-catching.

Personally for me the wheels stick too far out of the body, 1/2 to 3/4" further in would have been better. As it sits it looks too matchbox racer for me.

Love the engine bay. If not exposed like an Alfa Romeo V6 then covered like the RS Q3. Love everything else in this car.

Live in Moscow 2012. God I love this car:

Do everything the GT86/BRZ can't ? ;)
With a Centre of Gravity as if it was the Empire State Building, I highly doubt. IMO performance SUVs are for those that want the higher seating position and the SUV image, yet want a hint of sport feeling.

As far as the RSQs are concerned, it's a shame that almost every journalist found the steering to horribly lack in feeling!

I dont go offroad ;) , cars likeX5M and every other perforamnce SUV is just a big yawn. Never intrested me. If I want to go fast and experience a great driving I get somethings else, smaller and lighter.

LOL

I meant everything the GT86/BRZ can't. That is the exclusive Audi RS badge for image, AWD for all season driving, space for caring two more people, premium quality, more comfort,...etc

X5M goes less often offroad than a 130i goes track. You can't do everything with a GT86/BRZ, especially if you have a family or so, that is why you need a second car, when your GT86/BRZ is too small. Of course it could be a Honda Accord, but I'd prefer an RSQ3.

This is what I fail to see. If I want something big and heavy I get myself M5/E63 or RS6. They can do pretty much everything a SUV can and the cars looks a lot better and drive better.
I can only understand one reason to get a Performance SUV, you sit higher and with greater visibility but its certainly not for the driving experience.

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
