TT Audi TT Facelift - When?

Audi should really start testing it's new cars and facelifts in the open covered with tape. The Audi hype meter is always around 0 sadly.

Is that begining or end of 2010?
First show most likely Geneva, in the showroom few months later.
Facelift parts, headlights DRL for all TT's, full R8 V10 style rear LED lights, new front/rear Bumper style and maybe new style grill.

I agree that Audi doesn't create a lot of hype about forthcoming models (especially facelifts). GCF thrives on hype, spy shots, speculation etc. so it's a bit disappointing for GCF fans.

But if you look at it from Audi's point of view: Why would Audi (or any other manufacturer) wish to create hype for hype's sake? The hype is only useful if it generates sales / profits. Audi's sales / profits meter is ticking along quite nicely without the hype or "creative marketing" or whatever you want to call it. I suspect therefore that their strategy will not change soon.

True. I thought of the same when I posted that last comment.
For Audi, it really doesn't matter, their sales keep rising. But for the fans and internet buzz, it wouldn't hurt to test more in the open...

Oh, that's just because they don't have creative marketing here hyping everything out of proportion.

^ Give me a break, that has NOTHING to do with it. Perfect example is Mercedes-Benz, who manages just fine to keep themselves in the spotlights. BMW too before Eni and Scott came around.

Would you buy a new car if you knew that a facelift is on his way. :eusa_thin

Uhm, a facelift is coming no matter how little testing you see. That has nothing to do with it. When a new Audi is 3 years old, it will be facelifted. With or without visible test cars on the road.

wheres the hype in m suv's and bmw people carriers? Controversy maybe, hype from the creative marketing guys, but in the end just pure controversy.

I find it hard to understand that a facelifted version is on the cards for 2010 when the TT RS has just come out. ?? Can any provide some evidence to confirm this.

I think the new A8 will introduce the new shaped Audi grill and start the process of a new design era for Audi as it did before being the first car to introduce the single frame grill. However didn't one of the design chiefs at Audi state that there would be more differentiation between certain models e.g sport cars and saloons to make the cars have more individual character so public could distinguish different models more clearly removing the Russian Doll theme of the Audi cars.

^ seriously....Is the TT the only Audi without LED lights now? I think so...

Audi did the same with the S3, put it on the market and a year later a facelift.

Before.

After.

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
