Vs Audi S6 vs. BMW 550i vs. MB E500

Audi S6 5.2 L V10 420hp 0-100 km/h in 5.2 seconds


BMW 550i 4.8L V8 367hp 0-100 in 5.8 seconds


MERCEDES-BENZ E500 5.0l V8 302hp 0-100 in 6.0 seconds

To me Audi 4.2Q is the real competitor to 550 and E500 so 550i would get my vote but since its S6 instead, my vote goes to S6.

All cars are great but S6 is more special cause it features a V10 engine and has a sportier image. So S6 for me.

I dont think the S6 competes with the 550i and the E500. Its like comparing the 535d to A6 3.0 Tdi and MB E320 CDI.

But if I was to choose between these three then the obvious choice would be the S6..

My vote also goes for the S6 . However I must say that this poll is very wrong !!!
You souldn't compare those cars , they are different beasts .
The 550i and E500 should be compared to the 4.2L A6 - (and then I would take the 550i) .
The S6 is just too strong and too sporty for those two , and on the other side much weaker than the M5 and E55 AMG , So actually the S6 reamins with no real competitors from BMW and MB .

I would like to see a 550is though !!! (maybe a turbo version ?????)

Well said. Audi has two sporty models whereas MB and BMW have only one so this it not fair.

I vote for S6. I like it's standard AWD and power.

Exactly! Both BMW and MB have a to big gap between the M5-550 and E500-E63 AMG... There is the problem.

Sorry, but sometimes you really can say stupid things. "unecessary" you say? How can that be? Why have a big gap to a super-strong car, when you can have a "stairs-lineup".

Audi has the most perfect model range in the A6:

2.0T 170hp
2.4 177hp
2.0Ts (coming soon) 220hp
3.2 255hp
4.2 335hp
S6 420 hp
RS6 520-530 hp

That is what I call pleasure for every need for the customer. And of course I didn't bring the diesel engines.

Take BMW for example. 150hp between 550 and M5.... That is too much.

Look at MB they have 388 in E550 and 476 in E55 thats like 90hp diffrence thats less than some of the gaps in the audi line up..
This car is unecessary not beacuse it has much hp.. its beacuse its a S car and it took time to make..
why dont they make a A6 5.2 if they wanna fill the gap..

Why don't you compare the modern models instead. E500 302 hp and E55 AMG 476 hp are the current models. Then E550 388hp and E63 510hp will be the new models, so that's 122 hp difference.
