A4/S4/RS4 Audi RS4 B8 2011 info

The Audi A4 is a line of luxury compact executive cars produced by Audi. Production: 1994-2025. Predecessor: Audi 80. Successor: Audi A5 (B10).
For me personally the only RS to ever own has to be an Avant, but I think this opinion is true for almost all Audi fans because it's the original body style and has a true cult status about it.

And I think the opposite :)
My dream RS cars are:

1. RS4 B7 sedan
2. RS4 B5 sedan (yeah.. I wish they made one...)
3. RS6 C6 sedan

I'm think as Deckhook, the most interesting Audi RS' are the Avants, they look better than their rivals Mercedes and BMW, and they have AWD and perform better than the SUVs. Of course a FI engine would be better with the quite high weight, AWD and DSG. But the sound of the NA V8 will be unbeatable by any FI car, and the sound IMO is important as it makes the car more exotic.

What will be interesting will be the comparision between the RS4 B7 6MT and the RS4 B8 DSG with both nearly the same NA 4.2 V8. It will be really nice if the B8 won't weight more than the B7, and with the slightly more power and faster gearbox it could be quite faster.

4.2 V8 FSI, 450 HP, Nice!

Sedan scheduled later, or not at all?

No RS4 Sedan according to Audi.

Well we heard that before back and forth.
They say RS5 should fill in the shoes for a RS4 Sedan. I disagreed in any case... The world needs a sedan!!!
The RS5 is not good enough.

Unfortunately the RS4 won't be better. I like NA engine, but when combined with AWD and space FI is better.

2014 Audi RS4 Avant front and rear bumpers leaked?

From WCF:
A couple of days a go, we brought you a speculatively rendered image of the 2014 Audi RS4 Avant that is currently in development. The artist was Jon Sibal, and soon after the post was published, he received an anonymous email with pictures of what appears to be the real bumpers of the unreleased model.
There no confirmations as to whether this leak is real or not, but early investigations incline us to say that it is accurate. Additionally, you can look at the rendering attached to this article that has been updated following the new evidence.
Power for the model is expected to come from a 4.2-liter V8 engine that generates around 450 PS (331 kW / 444 hp) and 430 Nm (317 lb-ft) of torque. It will be mated with Audi's Seven-speed S tronic transmission and the company's Quattro all-wheel-drive system would also make its way into the system. It should enable the RS4 Avant to accelerate from 0-100kph (0-62mph) in just under 5 seconds before reaching an electronically limited top speed of 155 mph (250kph).
The Audi RS4 Avant is expected to be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show next month.

We are really close now :) :) :)

I posted the photos of those 'leaked' bumpers 3 weeks ago, that's what Jon Sibal probably based his render on.

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
