You need an I-Mod to destroy a Borg! :usa7uh:

Euro Benzes drive, handle and feel sportier than their US-spec counterparts. :usa7uh:

True, but it's not only Mercs. Just about all European cars get softened for the U.S. and all U.S. cars get stiffened for Europe. ;)

Didn't Audi or VW come up with a "hybrid prototype" sometime in the late 1980s?

Yes, and there was a VW "Taxi" in the 70s. But good old Dr. F. Porsche beat everyone to it.
Hybrid cars and trucks knew a certain popularity until the 1920s, when they along with the electric and steam cars were exctincted.

With the exception of BMW and Porsche, perhaps? :t-hands:

Didn't someone ask for a photo?

I found this on the web, which shows the ultimate car trunk: :D

Yes. I need to see a picture of the trunk!

In places like Singapore where diesel cars are too expensive to buy (and I mean expensive, with road tax X 6), the hybrid offers the best compromise. :usa7uh:

I'm a fan of the hybrid system, especially if you are in the city. But I think overall, diesels are the way to go.

Since when people have cared about ******* trunk here? Of course then when Lexus has something wrong with it! I tought this forum was all about lap times, designo interios and all that kind of bullshit.

Yeah that happens with every car here though, we'll find one thing wrong with it and jump all over it, grown quite accustomed to it myself.

Auto Motor und Sport has a point with the small trunk. It's not enough to make the Lexus lose out (it also lost on poor comfort, brakes and lifeless steering. ;)

I also posted this article on Carspin and even some of the Toyota fans agree that the lack of a trunk on this car is a killer. The people who shop in this class care about interior space and that includes a useable trunk. For a family of four, using the Lexus GS hybrid to go shopping at the local Wal Mart will mean filling up the rear seats with goodies. :D

BTW, AMS liked the Lexus hybrid technology. They said that if you're going to spend most of your time in city driving, there is no choice but the Lexus GS hybrid. Heck, I personally like the Lexus GS a lot, but I wish they'd offer a real diesel for Europe. The GS300 is a little underpowered (the GS got heavier after all) and still quite thirsty. :usa7uh:
