Audi A4 outsells 3 series in germany. TT outsells z4, A6 outsells 5 series

Again: talk on brand level, not on product one!

What does Audi brand stands for? What are core values of Audi brand? What virtues does it represent?

:t-cheers:

You did ask for examples of what Audi has done, must of replied to wrong post!:usa7uh:

To be really honest a simple "Well done Audi" would have been nice and applauding Audi for what they are and putting them down for what they are not:(

Eni is jealous of audi. Every thread which is about a successful audi he has nothing but negative and "bmw is still better" talk in it.

Audi has a bigger performance enthusiasts following than BMW. Just look at the amount of modified audi's compared to that of bmw. Reason being audi offer alot more turbo engined models, which allow easy power increase, and therefore over the years built up a huge following and trend. BMW has not got this, they have a M following but that weakens year by year as the so called "ultimate driving machine" carries on making SUV's and heavy rwd cars.

Yes, that's it ... exactly. I being jealousy of Audi. Or is it BMW "who" is being jealous. Eg. Gina - since "she" is almost human due blinking ability. :t-banghea

Oh, Earth, rejoice! Audi is now more popular for modifying. Rejoice!

Yes, it's an Audi. TT. :t-crazy2:

LoL, who cares about tuned cars. Its not relevant for Audi success.

Wrong there. I know plently of people who buy audi over mercedes or bmw due to tuning capability.

2.5 grand gets a VAG 2.0 tfsi 200hp engine to 360hp. BMW and mercedes have nothing to compete with such a flexible and tuneable engine that VAG have.

Audi S3 with remap and new fuel pump kicks out 340hp.

300 pound remap takes audi s3, tt-s, leon cupra, golf gti ed30 to 310hp. Massive bang for buck there.

I'm sure you do. :usa7uh:

I do, only bmws you can tune are diesels and 335i. But 335i costs alot of money, and a 2.0tfsi can be faster than 335i for much less money ;)

Maybe its because you dont know england, english people love to modify their engines to get more speed!

You know many? so what, its hardly a general rule Audis success are based on tuning. Audi make fine cars thats why Audi sell cars, tuning is just a very small reason. Welcome outside UK btw ;)

I've heard of this phenomenon but unfortunately I'm not familiar to it. :t-hands:

So you're telling me common people buy eg. a Ford with 1.3 75HP engine, and tuning it to 100HP? I guess not.

Since this is more a domain of a certain amount of male population between years 18-25. :usa7uh:

uk market is one of audis biggest markets, certain audi models outsell equivelant bmw and mercedes models combined figures.

Audi's success is not based on tuning, but many, many audi's have been bought over equivelant bmw and mercedes models because its easy to get big power out of them.

Why pay 35,000 for a 335i saloon when you can pay 24,000 for a 211hp a4 quattro, and pay 2 grand to get it to go faster than 335i with 360hp.

NA tuning is not worthwhile, and modifying is too expensive on insurance for 18 year olds. Age can be up to 50's also, most of the men I know with modified cars are around 30.

IF I had the money I would rather buy a stock 335i or stock S4 over a tuned A4 2.0T.

But if you didnt have the money, but still wanted 335i or S4 speed without sacrificing interior quality etc by buying a lesser performance brand, you would just buy the 2.0T and tune it, like countless of people have done.

Like me I want a E46 M3, but am too young to insure one. Therefore I will buy a 2.0T VAG and tune it, and for a little bit of money it will be faster than the M3. Or I might get 335i, as that is tuneable, but it is more pricey than the VAG models im considering so will have to make a decision as to whether its worth the extra money for similiar speed.

p.s

If your 1 series is a diesel you should remap it.

I like Audis - they are nice cars, thats all I need.

EnI, you are asking what Audi have that BMW doesn't. Maybe I'm wrong, but I can't really think of anything BMW has that Audi doesn't, or AT LEAST anything Audi needs to have from Audi.

But since it has come up in conversation, what does Audi do for me that BMW doesnt? Audi has a clear cut futuristic/modern design strategy. To me, Audi has always been the company with the most futuristic/modern cars on the road, and their designs seem to last and age alot better than other cars (take Tumbo's A4 for example!).

But anyway, well done Audi!
