Well Deutsch, I've read that the C-Class had more headroom than the 3-Series and A4... Maybe the A4 will correct it because it is very big, but not sure...

Concerning the RS4, Richboy, what's the point to evoke it? Because you don't feel safe about the design of the B8?

Have to day that the B7 was very far from class-leading in comfort or performance or anything concering the drivetrain... Pretty much noisy too in diesel... Let's wait for the B8 to see if it is better (which is sure because it is based on the A5)

The new M3, in pics does not look that good. But I've seen one, white, and it looks much much more muscular and sporty in the metal.

But back to the topic...

Sorry but what point were you trying to make? I already admitted that Mr. NarutoRamen made a excellent point with his post, so I'm not understanding what's the point of you basically repackaging a previous post?

It honestly didn't take alot for Mercedes to 1 or even 2 up there previous C-Class, where the B7 A/S/RS4 was class leading in looks, design, and by most accounts performance. Even the critics feel the B7 RS4 is more of a looker then the brand new E92 M3. Sorry, I just had to add that!:D ;)

In terms of looks is wasn't difficult for Audi to improve the A4 much either. Both the pre-facelifted A4(B6) and C-class(w203) were terrible in their own ways. The A4 looked kind of boring and not very premium with the big black cladding. The C-class had bad steering, not so thrilling quality and a very high price.

Both cars were completely trashed by the E46, especially because of all the success and popularity of the M3. It wasn't until in 2003/2004 until A4 and C-class had anything to come with. Both looked great in their new face lifted bodies, and were heavily improved too.

So with the B8 and the W204 the cars are just or even more attractive cars than the 3er compared with how matters were in 2000-2004.

Audi B7 was really never much more than a facelifted B6 and by no means class leading but hopes are up on the B8. This will be one hell of a car, im sure!

From what i gather its much bigger than the competition (C-class and 3-series), that will score a lot of points in upcomming comparisons.

I've read that it is indeed bigger. Haven't taken a look and compared measurements yet. But bigger doesn't always mean better. The A5 is larger than the E92 but has less interior space in the back.

But then again I think there is nothing wrong with the way Audi made the A5 compared to the E92, more of a classic coupé in terms of seating space.
