Audi A3 Cabrio with six doors

Who said that 'convertible' and 'family' don't mix?
Audi in Germany has demonstrated a unique long wheelbase A3 Cabrio with six doors.

Currently there’s no information whether this car was commissioned by a customer or it is just an exercise for the Audi Deutschland team, but it’s based on the previous generation Audi A3 Cabrio, revealed back in 2007.

The funny-looking machine has six separate doors and room for up to eight passengers. It’s equipped with the S-Line package and features 17-inch multi-spoke wheels, black gloss radiator grille and side mirrors caps, as well as black leather seats.

Judging by the images, this convertible has no retractable roof, as it has to be too big for the tiny boot at the back.

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
