Specially engineered carbon-fibre tub and structure, highly advanced adjustable dampers, double wishbone suspension with inboard pushrod actuated springs, Cosworth engineered V12 that's 25% lighter but pushes 700 hp, Carbon ceramic brakes, sequential gearbox...That's evil, the car better have performance or tech to justify the price since it's looking more like smoke and mirrors right now.

Where's the smoke and mirrors in this?
Luw, on paper 1500kg being propelled by 700hp looks like a dead cert for performance stardom. Of course, the real-world result can easily end up disappointing no matter how impressive the credentials.
I do not see this as a Veyron, Cinque or even SV beater. I get the inclination that this is intended to be the GT to end all GTs... And it'll come at a price befitting its exclusivity.
My jaw just dropped to the floor. That is some highly advanced development going on there, check out the width of the rear tires. Crazy! Given how captivating the DBS and the Vantage engine sound is, the engine in this car must be beyond imaginable.
I wonder if AM are developing this with the same people that are working on the SLC as there was some MB-AM partnership announced last year.
Even if they were, there is little evidence of there being any engineering similarities between this and the SLC. This is a completely different chassis.
True, but they seem to be sharing wizards as both manufacturers seem to be gloating by showing the guts of their cars way before they are ready for the showroom. I don't think its a coinicident that technical diagrams of the SLC and nude photos of the One-77 drop in the same week. They must be sharing windtunnels, carbonfiber development, screw drivers and so forth. Obviously the SLC and the One-77 are not competitors but seem to be developed in harmony along side eachother. It's quite shocking that a near production ready prototype of the AM has already been completed. What's next now must be the usual testing, testing and more testing.
I agree with you. However, they can charge that much because people are willing to pay that amount. That's about all.

Would have made a nice replacement for Vanquish, imagine this against 599 etc would have really taken the fight to them.
