DB12 Aston Martin DB12, DB12 Volante, DB12-S, DB12-S Volante

The Aston Martin DB12 is a grand touring car produced by Aston Martin. Predecessor: Aston Martin DB11. Production: 2023-
Some rumors about the DB12.

- It will only be available with a new V8 from AMG.
- Just under 700hp and massive torque.
- £185k base price.
- A dual screen infotainment system, developed in-house by Aston Martin, bespoke and entirely new.
- The big return to the cascading center console.

V12 gone? Damn shame!

I'll have to triple check, but I think he might right. The "770" is possibly the last of the line because they said it was with the Vantage RS V12.

So, power levels between an AMG GT-R Pro and Black Series. Sounds like a fair middle ground between the outgoing V8 and V12.

I don't think they'll be changing the transmission. I guess we've to wait a little longer! As for the engine maybe the upgraded "707" V8 from the Aston Martin DBX, I'm a massive admirer of that unit!🙂

The interior will make or break the DB12 and possibly all future models if they’re based on the same interior layout and HMI (which is most likely), I’m hoping Aston finally gets it together.

More interested in Stroll’s comment about a new model line? Does he mean a mid-engined car to rival the 750S and 296GTB aka Vanquish Concept? Or something different all together?

A new model line is neccessary to attract new customers to the brand. Until the DBX arrived, the Aston brand has been stagnant for 15 years: A small V8 coupe and a big V8/V12 coupe. The GT segment has been cannibalised by SUVs and mid-engine sports cars that offer better thrills with a modest trade off in comfort.

I think a mid-engine supercar priced at £200-300k would be appropriate for Aston. That segment is not crowded and there the scope of high unit costs are high thanks to customisation and carbon fibre add-ons.
