OT: i think brand loyalty is good thing-and in some ways better than band-wagoners- who simply praise the company with the latest and greatest-brand loyolty is learned through tradition, experience, and history. Band wagoners look at the first drive section of C&D...whats better, you tell me. Lets face it, the industry progresses mostly by coppying one another-every car is a masterpeice in one way or another-only to be outdone in six months by the next best thing...you all know it...so brand loyalty is more than simple fan-boyism-my .02$.

On Topic: The A5 is a great looking car-but honestly the design on the 3 series is a bit more cohesive and flowing.

Some people see brand bias as brand loyality, their not the same thing. One of the main way's you can tell the difference between the two is when certain un-named people sh!t on a car before it's even out to be judged. I'm a Porsche man but their are times where I've strayed away from Porsche for the sake of not lying to myself!

P.S Loyality can get you killed!;)

^so long as your not blinded by your loyalty...For instance, I am (obviously) BMW biased but i can admit that Audi's RS4 is better in almost every way than the E46 M3-however doesnt mean that I would prefer an RS4. I would never argue that the 760i is as good as the S600 either....but brand loyalty is different than fan-boyism-which is usually based off very little. I can admit that Audi makes awesome products-products that are better than alot of BMW's but that doesnt mean I would change my mind-because product alone isnt the only reason to be loyal..

I agree with most of your post, however I really don't have such a great sense of loyality that I would pass up a car from another manufacter that I respect and desire for the purpose of claiming my loyality.:t-hands: I'm not knocking your position, I'm only inlighting you on mine!:)

I wouldnt buy a BMW to show my loyalty, I would buy one over-other brands-because I AM loyal. Loyalty because i appreciate what that brand stands for-where it came from, and where its going...thats just me. I guess the great majority of people would buy the best product-but I honestly believe BMW makes the best product-yet thats up for debate..

I am only brand loyal when the car is better than the competition...simple. there is a reason I'm on GCF rather than MB forums, Audi forums or BMW forums. I like cars not brands. But there are some exceptions because each brand has a unique twist that I love. Example of my taste.

Q7>X5>ML
S-klasse>A8>7er
M3>RS4>C55 (current not the future one)

Just an example of what I like.

Judging from the pics only, 335i for me. I adore the new A5, but not as much as the beemer...:D

:t-cheers:

Thats what I'm saying...except I would still like to see a pic of the A5 in blue to truly decide. But the interior...I kind of prefer the A5 but not by much.

Oh yeah, i prefer A5's interior too... It's simply better looking than the one in 3er...:usa7uh:

:t-cheers:

the 3er kills it by miles in my book..
allthough the Bimmers interior is crap compared to normall cars..
so we shouldnt even mention the A5

Still 3er gets my vote

The 3 series coupe actually looks a lot better in real life than in the photos. I will have to see both car in the metal to have a final verdict.

A5 by far. The E92's profile looks too much like a saloon.

Let's not even talk about the interior...

335i all the way

I don't like the A5 much so far. All the other Audi's have been more impressive lately.

Probably the 335 but it's way too early for a poll like this. Everybody has just the first impression on A5 while 335 is out for some time now.

I honestly prefer the E92 in terms of looks. It can be aggressive or elegant purely depending on the color combos and mods you make to it. Like JM said, the 3er Coupe got my as soon as I saw it. I really don't like how the A5 looks. In S-form, it doesn't look that much better either.

Plus you have to consider that the BMW's engine (the turboed one anyway) will be up for many awards. Also, how much is the A5 going to cost. An even scarier thought... how much is the S5 going to cost compared to the 335i??

Pic your favorite!

The 3'r looks dated.. and more like a sedan/saloon than a coupe..
(but that's on the pic's in real life it looks very VERY good.

But if it's the same with the A5..

The A5 must be the ONE
(still the BMW leads by votes.. :eusa_thin )

Well.. We all at this forum as I can see has very high expectations for the Audi models! hmm..
:)

Really? I think it still looks fresh as ever. And at night, that thing is a headturner with those lights. But this forum in general has high expectations for every German car. S and C class got scrutinized pretty good. So did the X5 and so on

The problem that I have with that picture of the E92 is that it has 17" rims. As we all know, Bangled cars tend to make the wheels look a whole lot smaller than they really are. 18" are the minimum:
