Appearance; A5 or 335i

may be i am blind, but i fail to see any similarities between the 3 coupe and a5, on the other hand, i see some current a4 and a8 in a5's tail lamp.

edit: for example

the tail lamp is now wider and with more pronounced contra-direction line. other than that it's an evolution of the a4's tail light.

Now,you see how much color and rims have to overall appeal of a car..and this is one of the most desireable combo for new e92 for sure .
A5 is stunning in silver and with those rims but BMW takes the cake for me..

You don't have to tell me twice brother. I've already stated that I like the 3er more when it comes to exterior styling. The 335 is fresh and original while still following it's companies main design language. The A5 on the other hand is nothing new or fresh. The A5 is just a same exact design put on a coupe body...thats it.

they have similar lamp placemen, both are trapezoid shaped, but a5 lamp is the upside down of the a8 lamp, and of course the a5 lamp is elongated.

I voted for the 335 but I admit to being biased. I have a Montego Blue 335 coupe on order. That said I think the A5 is really nice looking and would be a great car for anybody to have. By my user name you can tell I'm a BMW fan but I respect Audi, Mercedes, and Porsche very much. If for some reason I couldn't get a BMW I would buy one of the previously mentioned cars long before I bought any American or Japanese car. For the record I've owned American and Japanese cars in the past but I prefer German cars to them.

I don't dislike the A5. It's just that I have a problem with the lack of desing and originality.

Will you guys please stop with the tail lights. Please. So many cars have similar taillights to other cars, you could say the E92 looks like a Mercury Milleniums, or a number of other cars.There are only so many possibilities, when desinging them, If anything these just go back to the Audis of the 80s and early 90s when they were on the car and the bootlid. These tailights are just a less rounded and up to date version of those found on your beloved nuvolari...

That hip IMO could be to lure american buyers IMO.
