Ahhhh....simpler times ....who doesn't love Communist dictators?

The pageantry, the snappy dress sense, the smiling and waving masses forced to unquestioningly worship their leader with great enthusiasm ........with a little bit of mass genocide and torture thrown in for good measure.

Wait a minute, it sounds a lot like most Western leaders today.

Spot on. They were driven in better cars tho
Zhivkov had many other rare and expensive cars too. That is in times when the average Bulgarian had to wait at least 13 years to get his new car - Moskvitsh and some more if he opted for the more expensive and luxurious Lada/Jiguli(the same as Fiat 125)... while these "Men of the people" were driven in Landaulets and companies were even making one-offs for them...
