Z06 seems to have wildly discrepant acceleration figures. I wonder if they have "high downforce" cars and normal cars...

Wow, looks like this Z06 with the manual came to prepared play.
IMO the one that ABSC tested (the automatic) had a hardcore aero set-up for the fastest laptime on Sachsenring (it beat the 991 Turbo S by 2 seconds!).

It was lightning-quick up to 200 kph (10,2 seconds), but up to 250 it needed another 10,2 seconds.

I agree 911 seems sensible choice but the turbo range is kinda souless as many reviewers said. Its fast and all but kind of muted fast not sensational fast.

I test drove it many times and I never left with a smile. I usually leave scared :D

The Jag deffinettly wins the apeal contest IMO hands down, followed by the AMG-GTS.
Impressive speed reached by the Z06!! It has my vote, but not so easy.

Disappointing test with only laptimes... :(

Laptimes (dry, 1906 m):
0:58,26 min - Corvette Z06 Z07-Package (Vmax.: 185,3 km/h)
0:58,64 min - Porsche 911 Turbo (Vmax.: 190,6 km/h)
0:59,27 min - Nissan GT-R Track Pack (Vmax.: 183,9 km/h)
0:59,74 min - Mercedes-AMG GT S (Vmax.: 183,4 km/h)
1:02,61 min - Jaguar F-Type R Coupé AWD (Vmax.: 171,1 km/h)

Laptimes (wet, 1577 m):
1:05,49 min - Jaguar F-Type R Coupé AWD (Vmax.: 145,4 km/h)
1:05,92 min - Porsche 911 Turbo (Vmax.: 133,2 km/h)
1:09,20 min - Mercedes-AMG GT S (Vmax.: 121,6 km/h)
1:11,31 min - Nissan GT-R Track Pack (Vmax.: 111,1 km/h)
1:19,32 min - Corvette Z06 Z07-Package (Vmax.: 103,5 km/h)

very hardcore, if you consider 0-280 about 15s slower :redface.doodle:
...where's Guibo (and his fans) whn you need him... :p
very funny wet laptime too

That Z06 is way over the normal spec, very good example for road testing, most other mags have recorded much slower performance figures. I would take the AMG GT S then the 911 Turbo and Jag F-type

Mercedes AMG GT for me, closely followed by the Z06. The Z06 is the real deal super sports car, but I prefer the AMG GT for its overall appeal.

How does the C7 Z06 with a manual do 0-281 km/h (0-175 mph) in just 20.1 seconds? That's like 0-240 km/h (0-150 mph) in just a very little over 15 seconds.

In the March 2015 issue of Car and Driver the Z06 is even slower than the 991.1 Turbo S and the R35 NISMO.

Vette || GT-R || 911
0-30 mph:
1.6 sec | 1.2 sec | 1.0 sec

0-60 mph:
3.3 sec | 2.9 sec | 2.5 sec

0-100 mph:
7.5 sec | 6.6 sec | 6.2 sec

0-150 mph:
17.9 sec | 15.8 sec | 14.9 sec

1/4 mile:
11.5 sec | 11.0 sec | 10.6 sec

Estimates:
30-60 mph:
1.7 sec | 1.7 sec | 1.5 sec

60-100 mph:
4.2 sec | 3.7 sec | 3.7 sec

30-100 mph:
5.9 sec | 5.4 sec | 5.2 sec

60-150 mph:
14.6 sec | 12.9 sec | 12.4 sec

30-150 mph:
16.3 sec | 14.8 sec | 13.9 sec

100-150 mph:
10.4 sec | 9.2 sec | 8.7 sec

0-124 mph:
11.3 sec | 10.4 sec | 9.7 sec

((1320/mph)/mph/(mph/124)*124)+(et-(1320/mph)) = 0-124mph time; more like 199.6 km/h instead of just straight-up 200.

0-186 mph: 0-124 mph et ÷ (Vmax × 1.609344) × 1000:
N/A | 33.8 sec | 30.4 sec

In every straight-line performance aspect it's 911>GT-R>Vette in this magazine issue. In the chassis area, the Z06 is the clear winner. So the NISMO is in the middle.
