FAZIT
1.Audi RS 7 Sportback Performance443 Punkte

Two of my favorite cars. What do they say?

Well, I think the Audi scores a few extra points thanks to the fact it's AWD. I wonder if the Alpina B6 Gran Coupe Allrad would fair better.

They say "Power is nothing without control" :D

Indeed, they say RS7 has always it's enormous power under control, very comfortable, very safe, good consupmtion...

M6 GC - despite driver wanting it to be still, it can't be... Requires more attention when wet and looses it's comfort. Uncompromising - also the price.

Both great cars imo, but BMW for me has much nicer interior and exterior, RS7 in a side profie and from the back looks somehow "unfinished" to me...

^ Yeah because you will probably fold an M6 CP around a tree when on Valium :D

It's me or it has been a while since the last time the 6er won a test?

That front end has not aged well...

Agreed about the front end.
The whole 6er IMO did not age that well......and for the A7 it's actually the opposite.

But the RS7 winning because it's more safe and comfortable is nonsense. These cars are supposed to be sporty.

If this was between the M6 GT3 and R8 LMS,then I would wholeheartedly agree but it's not. The RS7 and M6 GC,despite badging, fine tuning, and ridiculous horse power increase, are still big comfortable 4 door'd cars. With the number one objective still being luxury and comfort, just at a much more frantic pace. I'm sure the bimmer 's lower stance and rear wheel bias make it slighty more engaging around the bends, while the Audi never relents on traction. Each have their advantages in handling and acceleration, wish I could understand the language to see why the breakdown in points favors the RS.

@Merc1 and I beg to differ :D

Its hard to capture the design of the 6er in pictures. After nearly two years, I still find mine stunning although i'll be parting ways with it for a S63 Coupé in the near future.

The issue with the 6er is that its at odds with the design language of the current lineup. I still find M6 GC to be the most beautiful BMW, being that I am not the biggest fan of the new design language.

The M6 GC's suspension is almost too stiffly sprung for daily use, which is why I preferred the 650.

I was wondering what it all was too... so I translated it - I apologise to any German speakers if I did a horrible job :D

In my opinion the 6GC is the most beautiful car in BMW's current line up, the rear end especially looks so gorgeous. It is also better looking than the Audi A7 and Mercedes CLS.

Agree. @Matski is a great addition to this place. His opinions are spot on and he genuinely adds value to the forum as opposed to just endlessly link dumping to useless and uninteresting web pages.

I appreciate the kind words. :)

On the subject of the comparison, personally the added utility and practicality of the RS7 wouldn't sway me from the the looks of the GC, I think it looks fantastic. If I wanted a little extra luxury, and the benefits of AWD I'd go for the B6GC in half a heart beat. The CLS would come in as a third choice, behind the M6 or B6. I think it's a great looking car, and probably my favourite car in MB's current line up.

No doubt Audi have a great car to offer with the RS7 though.

The BMW lost in every category. Unbelievable...
On looks alone I think it beats the Audi RS7 by a long shot.

I don`t agree with them about the rear seats of the Audi being better. I have been in both these cars at my local auto-show and the 6er felt better to me. The cushion and the angle of the RS7 was quite bad imo. Hard and upright.

Congrats to the RS7 on this smashing victory.
