Der meiste Platz, der höchste Komfort, stoische Stabilität und niedriger Verbrauch. Sportwagen? Nein, aber der beste Generalist.

2.BMW M235i497 Punkte
Sportwagen? Ja, dank bissigstem Motor, höchster Agilität und bester Rückmeldung. Den Sieg kostet der etwas höhere Verbrauch – knapp!

3.Mercedes CLA 45 AMG 4MATIC471 Punkte
Beste Show dank Rennstart-Modus. Doch das zu straffe Fahrwerk und der sehr hohe Preis verhindern ein besseres Abschneiden.

Apparently S3 won because of more comfort and less fuel consumption. However, S3 doenst feel like a sportscar like the others. according to them.

I know which one I take to my home.

Me too, complete no brainer.

And it is OK that a 3.0 I6 sips a bit more fuel compared to a 2.0 I4. For me the M235i is the clear winner by a mile.
Last place for the 'generalist' for me. I don't like cars without any character whatsoever. At least the A45 has some spice and drama.

I liked the A3/S3 in the beginning but that feeling is completely gone somehow. I do like it's size though.

Well, this is an easy choice. M235i is the best BMW has now along with the M4 IMO. The Benz is cheapo. MB should put much more care on the next A-Class.

I´ve seen that exact Audi during the summer and it looked terrfic. I don´t know how it drives but it is such a looker IMO.

For the BMW and Audi exude far more of a premium persona than the Merc does.

But still, they awarded the family car the award, and if that was what they were looking for then I guess they where right.
