keep in mind the SRT10 and ZR1 have their 5th and 6th and just 6th gears as overdrive respectively. I bet up to 240ish they were eating everyone else.

I don't think AMS would do stuff like that. You must be aware that at those speeds aerodynamic efficiency is becoming very important. The better the aerodynamics the less power you need to achieve high speeds.

An Aston Martin is a class act. It offers ample power, speed and dynamism for the type of buyer. It's a gentlemen's car - no need for juvenile shenanigans on public roads - the car has more than enough wherewithal to do what it has to do and keep any discerning owner satisfied.
