Anyway, there shouldn't be an argument here just because a bunch of journalists put the Benz before the BMW. Especially since the latest issue of Auto Motor und Sport next to me ranked the BMW first and the Benz last.

did swedish AMS pay german AMS to rank BMw on first place?

swedish AMS favor BMw in most cases and german AMS favor Benz in most cases. its so predictable that you know the winner before you start to read.

Not really. I opened my AMS today and the BMW won, despite an underpowered engine. Usually, AMS is pretty Mercedes bias - since they're based in Stuttgart. Also in this month's magazine, Porsche Cayman vs BMW Z4: the BMW wins.

Autobild tends to be Audi/VW biased, but they also sometimes pick the BMW or the Benz, just depends.

Interesting results.

AutoBild tested same cars a while ago. The results couldn't be more different:

1st place: Audi A6 ... 500pts
2nd place: MB E220 CDI ... 497pts
3rd place: BMW 520d ... 488pts

We have already discused that AutoBild test HERE.

So: same cars, different car mag, totally different results - what this tells to you.

So if we see both comparisons , Audi A6 got a first and a second place and the other two got a first and a third place.
That means that A6 is better overall. Simple as that.

i noticed one thing. In the pros and cons of each car, BMW is the only one to have confort in the (+) while the A6 and the E220 have confort in the (-)
I was expecting exactly the opposite. I always thought that BMW made the less comfort cars of the three germans...

Compared to the A6 and E, the 5 IS the most 'uncomfortable'. Starange indeed.

Especially since the trim level of this E-Class was Elegance, which is softer than the Avantgarde trim level. Funny eh?
