Chinese electric vehicle maker BYD (002594.SZ), opens new tab recorded the biggest fall in global sales in six years last month against a backdrop of fierce competition in the world's largest auto market.
BYD's February sales dropped 41.1% from a year earlier, the sixth consecutive month of decline, according to a stock market filing on Sunday. The fall last month was the biggest since February 2020 when the economy was hit by the COVID-19 pandemic.

At least the Touareg has spawned many others which are still available. Porsche, Bentley, Audi and Lambo all have their own Touareg.
I never thought I'd see this day, made even worse by the fact that Audi doesn't even have a full-size SUV that could cannibalize its sales. I suppose they'll bet everything on the Q9, but what a display of mediocre management.
Those thousands of sales that will now be transferred to the S-Class and the 7 Series will be welcome.

Honestly, I’m sad that the A8 is being completely discontinued, but to be realistic, it never really stood as a true competitor against the 7 Series and S-Class. It was only an alternative. That’s why Audi killing off the A8 didn’t come as a surprise to me. If the Q8 is luxurious enough, it could very well pull the A8 customers over to itself.

I knew the day the D5 was revealed it would flop. Too cold and uninspiring looking. Even the C8 A7 looked too cold, the C8 A6 was the only good looking large Audi on the MLBevo sedan platform.
We need an imposing A8 again like the beautiful D4 generation.
