All kind of sales Audi / BMW / Mercedes

“It’s a high-tech production site. Around 900 top-quality BMWs leave this plant every day."
"The all-electric BMW i4, for example, already makes up a quarter of the production volume"

900 cars a day = 328,000 cars a year
i4 is currently 25% (a quarter of production) = 225 i4 a day = 82,125 i4 a year (this year 2022)

Production at Munich has maxed out at around 221,000 units per year in the recent past, and 328,000 would represent well over double the output for the last couple of years, so I wouldn't extrapolate the numbers like that. The i4 is the only full BEV produced at Munich, so if 50% of the cars are full BEV, and they get the production back up above 200k, that will give them the 100,000 units stated.

So by your math, if BMW doesn't sell 80k+ i4 by the end of 2022, you/BMW/or both is just bull shiting?
i4 is currently 25% (a quarter of production)
It is not from the beginning of the year.

As were the record braking orders of the iX in Norway
That was the record of the car and country of orders in one day, it was a news that I RE-posted with its corresponding reliable source, you can look for it.

Soon you will understand what an absurd number those 100 k i4s per year is.
Doesn't it seem more absurd to discuss the facts, there is the info and there are the sources, how many people should post them here so that you can finally assimilate them?

Ok, then since when? May? June?
"is currently" It says so in the report, but....

;)

I am just quoting you, man. You are one who posted 82125 i4 this year -
82,125 i4 a year (this year 2022)

If you think you made a blunder and want to revise it down, feel free. If not, I will look forward to seeing that number of i4 sold at the end of the year.

You know as well as I do that the car started production very recently, the numbers are obviously projected, so I did a daily average based on what they say in the report, therefore, I don't know since when it is "currently "but if they will be 100,000 in 2023 in their first full year as I said before, "currently" maybe means that they reached those levels this month, when the publicity takes effect, then it will be 225 i4s per day until the end of the year, I don't know how many they sold from January to May.

I remind you of my previous estimate, it was between 40 to 60,000, reaching 100,000 in the first full year, exactly what will happen

BMW started selling i4 end of last year. So 2022 will be the first full year. Not 2023.

So your estimate for 2022 is between 40k and 60k?

Not everything is black and white, there are nuances, it is not even in all markets yet, you know that this is a gradual process, first full year is 2023
So your estimate for 2022 is between 40k and 60k?
Yes, but according to this new information it seems that I fell short and it could be more

Very interesting info, broadly speaking most of the sedans of both brands are in strong negatives, they call the convertible coupes "sport" but what I like the most is that it is broken down by each specific model, as I had not seen for a long time (y)

Until these cars, as with any other cars, are actually in customer hands, I'm going to withhold judgement. Because even sales and registration data is only 90% truth. These statements for me are 40 - 50% truth.

Exactly.

I , personally , find hard to see , even when I am travelling , any iX , EQS , EQE , etc.

For example : When 7er Facelift came out , I saw lots of them on the streets even in it's first 3 months

Hype is a good selling perk.

@tristatez28lt1 talks about the truth, you agree and then start nonsensical anecdotal stuff.

F'ing LOL.

Hermann criticizes luxury strategy
Mercedes builds cars "only for the rich and super-rich"

Monday, May 30, 2022 at 5:00 a.m
Baden-Württemberg's Minister of Transport, Winfried Hermann, has sharply criticized Mercedes' new luxury strategy. The manufacturer is leaving the mass market.

The Baden-Württemberg Minister of Transport, Winfried Hermann, has criticized Mercedes-Benz for wanting to grow primarily with expensive luxury cars. "I think this strategy is a mistake, it will also lead to acceptance problems if you only build cars for the rich and super-rich," said the Green politician of the "Heilbronner Voice" and the "Südkurier". CEO Ola Källenius had recently announced the realignment, arguing that Mercedes was a luxury company and that jobs would be secured.

"Invitation for Asian Vehicles"
Hermann said, "I can understand you selling luxury cars for a return, but if you only sell luxury cars then you leave the mass market."

Not surprised- must be appalling to poor Hermann that Mercedes so blatantly prioritizes other markets over its domestic market. I also don't think he's wrong about Asian vehicles picking up the slack in the mass market. Maybe he should be focusing his attention on Volkswagen and Opel.

Dumb.

Workers, those gentlemen who build the cars, perhaps the minister is worried that they will lose their jobs, affecting thousands of families, despite Ola accompanying the statement with a "jobs will not be lost", I think I remember that he said something similar before throwing 10,000 people to the streets as soon as he took office, (Ten thousand people).
