It'sdefinitely not bad-looking. Pretty good design. Of course, lots of Benz inspiration, especially the front and in particular the grille or headlights...the windscreen/roof relationship too...

But not bad.

The V8 is "produced" in South-Corea, so it still is a MB V8 produced there, or is it a Corean V8?

Anyway, waiting for the equipemts, interior, build quality, finition, and how it drives.

It could have been somethimg pretty cool if it wasn't priced so high...
Seriously, do you think we have here the next Lexus? Given the look it is possible, of course we need more.

Could have some success in Asia if it's not too bad.

Easily. I applaud Ssangyong for creating their first truly beautiful car and an immediate class leader at that too. Incredible how they can just come into the game late and immediately outclass everything the competition throws at it. Simply incredible. The Germans have been in this game for over 100 years and the little unknown Ssangyong company just bankrupts them overnight! Incredible!

Anyone else feel this car should get the Best Saloon Car of the 21st Century award? I do.

I swear, put an S-Class next to this thing and it's apparent how poorly designed and engineered the S-Class is. Even the Lexus LS cannot touch this masterpiece of Korean engineering. Bottom line: Ssangyong Chairman > Lexus LS / MB S-Class etc.

The Chinese X5 is sooooo much better than that wannabe German version. Why should I pay more when I can get the same car for less money?

Well it seems that SsangYong has fixed it's greatest problem. It now makes better styled, built, handling, safer and far more advanced vehicles then the competition and now also has the brand image and badge lure to knock the socks off all of the other players..

This is a minor miracle but SsangYong are the new Rolls Royce!!!

I heard BMW stopped RR4 because of this car, and decided to study and learn from it before releasing the new 7er because they don't want to be ashamed. The new 7er will therefore be delayed by more than one year...

MB announced ten minutes ago they have to cut the price of the S-Class by 60% in order not to appear ridiculous face to the SSangyong, and Audi will stop the A8 right now because they realized it won't sell anymore...

There are rumours saying Ssangyong will allow Mercedes to use this platform/motor for the next S-Class...How fast things can change...

I know! I thought Lexus was a tough competitor but Ssangyong just sent them back to Japan! The Germans are next! I fear the worst.
