His mum decided to let him drive a Ferrari 430. Not sure what he thinks of it.

It would have been crazy if his mum was in the passenger seat, but like this?! He even has time to beep the flipping horn!

That's stupid. Plain madness. One wrong button pushed or gas paddle slammed by mistake & kid's life is in danger along with a totaled car. Nevertheless, an impressive & confident show by the kid behind the wheel. IMO, he gotta wait at least 6 years.

Looks like a quite, gated community. Not a public road. I say big up to him. I would have been more impressed if it were a manual F430.
Car driving kids are more common in third world counties.

I started driving a Land cruiser at ~ 10 or 11. 1984 four speed manual .

My Grandpa taught me to drive a manual at the age of five... with some pillows under my bum and barely reaching the pedals.
At the age of 7 they were letting me drive alone in the car or with my sister which was 4yo back then. Of course on private roads or offroading. At the age of 3 my father was letting me drive on his lap on our frequent trips to and back from our villa which is like 60km. in total tho I was only able to steer the steering wheel(with some help) while my father was on the pedals and the shifter. I never pushed the pedal to the metal when I was given the opportunity to drive on my own when I was a kid. I had respect to the people that gave me the chance to experience such a thrill at that early age.

If you are a good teacher and have a kid that listens all the time and is responsible then... it's perfectly OK with me

Nothing wrong or wierd about that. I started driving at about that age as well, and will encourage my kids to do the same.
