6 Series 6 Series/Mission Impossible

The BMW 6 Series is a range of grand tourers produced by BMW since 1976. Successor to the E9 Coupé.
^ Valkryie, and true, Iron man 2 is not so good compared to 1. but I liked the visual effects especially cutting those RR phantoms :D

As bad as Tom Cruise's image maybe, he is extremely popular in Emerging markets, like India esp. with the ladies, and no matter what the movie is as long as it's a action packed popcorn movie with Tom Cruise as a lead actor, it will do well regardless of people liking the movie or no, MI:3 for example I don't know of a single person who spoke well of the movie but then I don't know a single person who did not see it after the bad reviews either. Also for BMW with their focus on new economies and considering MI:4 has an Indian actor playing I think this works in favour of brand building in those countries, not that BMW needs to but might just give that extra push. Coming to movie placements, Mercedes-Benz I think chooses the worst, MIB:II was when the W211 came in? And Jurassic Park was used for ML if I am correct? and Sex and the City, Never even bothered to watch the trailer unless I was forced to in the movie halls :)

I thought Iron Man 2 was not as good as the first film.
Dont forget Rolls-Royce also had product placement in both Iron Man movies.
I enjoyed the first Mission Impossible film but have not seen the other two.

The difference is that the 6er will be part of a major action sequence.
It wont be OTT as say the Audi A8 driving along the side of a truck trailer.
Quattro might be good but not that good.

Even if the R8 wasn't apart of much action, the product placement in the Iron Man films is only eclipsed by the DBS in the Bond movies. Iron Man is a Robot and the R8 looks robot-ish. They are near inseparable. I've seen numerous R8 Cabrio's in white.

Mercedes and BMW are lagging behind Audi when it come to well thought out product placement.

^^^ HAha, yea right. So wrong I don't know where to start. In that very movie alone, the R8 is completely eclipsed by the Phantom scenes.
BMW and MB don't need product placement like Audi does. Audi is a made up brand by VAG marketing, has no real history like BMW/MB and is seen as a fancy VW around the world. Meaning, they NEED all lights on the brand they can get...

That's funny.........because other than being an a$$hole, bad actor, religious freak and some other stuff, he's also DEAD UGLY....
Oh well, different folks different strokes.

But the new 6er won't be exactly new anymore like the Z3 was in Goldeneye. BMW will present the 6er early next year and the film is late next year.

The IRONY is everyone here must have seen TOP GUN.

Yes, of course and i'll remember that movie as long as i live. I don't give a $h!t about TC, it's the movie that impressed me as a kid and i love it even today, i'm not ashamed to admit that.

This is load of bull$h!t and sounds like it's coming from a 8yo kid.

You can dislike them, no problems, but you make it sound like they're like Lexus who really has no history whatsoever and is really something that started to exist just because Toyota had a lot of money in their hands.

Audi is a great brand, Audi has history (maybe not that big like BMW & MB but they have it), Audi does produce brilliant cars, Audi is on pair in many segments with BMW & MB, Audi has Supercar, Audi is making money...

What else do you need? It's right there with BMW & MB on a world's scene...

Pretty good for a made up brand i'd say.

:t-cheers:

There is another starring role for a 2012 vehicle.

Nice to see a BMW will be in this film. Regardless of what public opinion is, no one can doubt that a BMW 6er will make Tom Cruise look good, even if he is acting crazy.

I saw some clips of Tom Cruise filming the new Mission Impossible movie on Sky News in the UK today. He does all his own stunts. He was hanging on a rope off the side of the Burj Khalifa.

Viewable here.

I'm going to Dubai in two weeks, so I hope he's still there then.

Why, do you want to go there and cut the rope?? He might get hurt!!
"It´s not the fall that kills you, it´s the sudden stop"!!:D

The same little bird tells me he was told the Concept CS will be in the film. Obviously the Concept CS as we know it was cancelled, but we've also been told that it's also been revived recently. Hmmm.....:eusa_thin
That would be a very great info and a very good bird
:t-cheers:

I doubt BMW would lend a multi million concept car to the film makers. Scott says a 2012 vehicle is starring in MI4. 6-series Gran Coupe? Some new MINI model? A forthcoming BMW motorcycle? Rolls-Royce Ghost Drophead Coupe? :t-hands:

Honestly man, I´m starting to be hyped by all this story. The CS is probably the nicest car I´ve seen, but it´s been to long sice we saw it, it better has changed to a more production-like car.

When will MI debut on theatres?.

I would guess a year from now, just before Christmas.

Regarding the CS Concept being in the film. I'm only passing on what I've heard, and as the 6 Series appears to be the nearest production model yet to the CS Concept, in looks at least, somebody could just be getting confused. But you never know. I think the other car being the 6er Gran Coupe is my guess.

Who cares the new 6er is going to appear in the MI4 movie!!??? I want it to appear in my garage!! :t-wild: (ASAP)
