more likely plasitc.

Chris chapman designed concept x coupe and maybe 1 series, but i am sure that djovrik had a role in the e46 program, may be not as the creator of the design but i think responsible for All E46 program, and the head of rolls royce design is Ian cameron and not djoverik.

Ian cameron is the scond guy from the right.

In September 2005 Marek Djordjevic left Rolls-Royce to establish a new creative agency. Djordjevic left his position as Head of Exterior Design at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars and Creative Director of DesignworksUSA automotive studio to set up Marek an independent strategic design and luxury brand development agency.

Djordjevic began his career at BMW-owned subsidiary DesignworksUSA where he worked on concept and production BMWs, as well as MINI, MG and Rover models during BMWs ownership of Rover Group.

The move marked an end to 15 years with BMW Group, Djordjevic being best remembered for his Rolls-Royce Phantom exterior designs and the delicious 100EX concept, which will spawn the next Corniche in 2007. Despite his departure, he will still continue to collaborate with Rolls-Royce Motor Cars in this new capacity.

So, Djordjevic was a part of DesignWorksUSA since 1990, so its possible he was involved in E46 design. But the guy who penned initial sketches of E46 was Erik Goplen. Here's a sketch with his signature on it:
