2026 Mercedes GLE/GLS Facelift

First thoughts:

+ GLE is much more successful facelift than the GLS
- They didn't upgrade the pitiful 255hp I5 in the in the GLE350
- They used the screen from the GLB, CLA, VLE and not the screen from the GLC EV
+ The interiors kept the buttons
- GLS looks confused with that grille and star at the same time
+ GLE53 Hybrid is amazing

Good, the star is optional on the GLS. It doesn't belong on the regular GLS with that grille. Only the Maybach should get the star on the current generation with that grille.

Those thick ass bezels…No.
As far as the exterior, they did kinda ruin the GLS with those huge lights and black plastic parts but on the contrary GLE looks better than the pre-facelift, and unfortunately taillights are giving pretty much Volkswagen. Other than that I think it’s a pretty solid facelift, though some parts could’ve been improved.

As a owner of the current GLE

I like most of the facelift and yes if things go to plan in about 2028 or 2029 I’ll definitely buy a used GLE 350d now that it’s in a 6 cylinder

I like it the bezels are a slight eye sore

The GLS headlight could have been better but maybe in real will look better

I think the facelift makes the front look more imposing

Glad to see they removed the 4 cylinder

the gle headlights looks better than the gls because somehow the gls headlights looks very big and to me the gls reminds me of the Chinese tank 500
