The answer is, they probably haven't finished developing them yet. They had a major strategy shift in the last couple of years owing to the EQ failures.I think it's a big mistake for Mercedes to give its nearly 8-year-old models a second facelift and keep them in production until 2030. I don't understand why Mercedes isn't completely renewing these models. While its biggest rivals—the X5, X6, and X7—will be fully renewed within a year, the GLE, GLE Coupe, and GLS will receive a second facelift and remain on the market for another 4 years.
Apparently the new iX3 seems to be beaten by GLC EQ in build quality already, See where this is going?No sunroofs, lots of screens, lots of black plastic (Audi).
In this regard the new cars are worse than the old ones.
Yes I see. Mercedes Benz goes back to the roots.Apparently the new iX3 seems to be beaten by GLC EQ in build quality already, See where this is going?
Wish they could keep the GLS as a separate S-class SUV with the interior & Suspension this time around. Not an extended GLE.The answer is, they probably haven't finished developing them yet. They had a major strategy shift in the last couple of years owing to the EQ failures.
You can't just magically make a brand new GLS and GLE on a split MB.EA-L and MRA2 for free.
What is it with Germany trying to ‘charm’ the chinese though?Yes I see. Mercedes Benz goes back to the roots.
But again no sunroof Because of China.
What is it with Germany trying to ‘charm’ the chinese though?
It’s pretty clear that the ship has sailed to win over the chinese now, they prefer their own Zeekr cars that have all the technology for 50% cheaper.
Mercedes must stick to going back to roots & make robust cars that primarily represents what a Mercedes is . The Chinese will choose if they wanna buy them or not, WE as the rest of the world will stick to the big star brand!
Wish they could keep the GLS as a separate S-class SUV with the interior & Suspension this time around. Not an extended GLE.
GLE= E-class SUV
GLS= S-class SUVEWB E-class SUV
i mean it quite costs alot, why not just make it a real S-class SUV?
I agree and they must concentrate more on the USA where sunroofs are a must ( with the exception of Tesla).
I agree, there’s a market as the Range Rover shows.
Thank you.True the US is a big market also, that actually prefers to buy Mercedes-Benz
Here’s someone who understands ball ! The GLS must face the Vogue head-on, it must be an S-class SUV.
Yeah the GLS600 is pretty cool, not much out there that can face itThank you.Autobiography is the one to choose, If we’re talking about the Range Rover.
The SV is a little bit more blingy, and much more expensive. Nonetheless it feels cheap compared to my GLS.
As a L405 and GLS600 Owner, I know what I am talking about.
I agree.Yeah the GLS600 is pretty cool, not much out there that can face it![]()
That’s why i think the Next GLS should move to be an S-class SUV. To have all the finest interior details whilst having 5/7 seats & E-ABC standard without being a MaybachI agree.The E-ABC should be standard I think.
With this suspension it really rides extremely well.
However it’s not practical, you can’t fold the rear seats. In the Range Rover this is no problem at all.
