it's weird to see a prototype that has the brand emblem on it.

Weird and also not permitted as I understand it. Not having any identifying badges on these test cars isn't just about keeping them secret. They're not allowed to have them until they've received their type certificate or whatever they call it. It was explained once on an undisguised vehcile which had the brand badges all covered up.

The muscularity of the RS7 exterior design is certain. But I wonder whether it may be a "bit much". Sacrificing elegance in favour of "overly aggressive brawn" ? I actually prefer what I'm seeing so far on the A7 Allroad prototypes.

WTF this looks boring as hell. Audi is losing its marbles, this A6 looks less attractive than the current model.

Lets hope when they bring it out they will show cars with brighter colours and wheels.

Black on black rims does the car no favours. I do like the longish hoodline, though. Otherwise, "no risk" Audi designcraft. Boring for some. And what many existing customers expect and appreciate from Audi for others. It's quite...okay.

They must be saving a ton of money on body stamping. The last gen A6 like a lot of the other older Audis had these tight body creases on the fenders and hood that are hard to do. The body on this is just a blob.

Same things happening across all German brands unfortunately.

The B10 A5 Avant does seem a bit tighter in that regard, but yeah the C8's beautiful creases can't be topped unfortunately

Indeed, Theottle, along with Kolesa, is one of the most competent automotive illustrators. His work is very often an extremely accurate reflection of the upcoming "in the metal" product.
