Range Rover 2025 Range Rover V8 vs PHEV debate

The Land Rover Range Rover, generally shortened to Range Rover, is a 4x4 luxury SUV produced by Land Rover, a marque and sub-brand of Jaguar Land Rover. The Range Rover line has been in production since it was launched in 1970 by British Leyland. Additional models have been launched under the Range Rover name, including the Range Rover Sport, Range Rover Evoque, and Range Rover Velar.

Hi all,
I'm trying to decide between the new 2025 Range Rover (SWB) with either BMW's V8 MHEV (P530) or JLR's PHEV (P550e).
I understand that, due to the increased weight of the battery pack, the suspension setup of the PHEV is not as comfortable as that of the V8. Is this true / noticeable?
Any other suggestions in choosing one over the other? Anyone have practical experience with both models?
Thanks in advance for the advice!
Cheers

You should drive all cars with the suspension and alloy size of your desire.
It's a bit difficult as the dealer only has the diesel version available for test drive.
I do have experience with V8 SUV's, but none with PHEV SUV's.
I'm doing my best to decide which is the right choice (without being able to test drive them back to back). That's why I'm looking for any practical advice you experienced folks might have here...

I'm in a similar situation trying to decide between P440e and D350. I've tested the diesel and it was very comfortable and pulled nicely on highway however you can still feel the sharper bumps around town more than in a Q8, the hybrid is 300kg heavier so I expect a more settled ride but crash harder in potholes due to the weight.

For improved comfort I would get one with dynamic anti-roll.

If money is no issue the V8 is without a shadow of a doubt the way to go.
But here in my country the PHEV will likely cost like 40% less.......

Thanks! Did you test the PHEV?

In my country, it's only a few % difference between P530 and P550e. A strange law considers mild-hybrid EV's (the one's without batteries) to be in the same tax bracket as regular hybrids.
In this case, what do you think? 100% get the V8, right?

No it was a D350 which I actually prefer over hybrid but I'm not sure of the future of diesel, the dealer doesn't have the hybrid for test drive, their best seller is the diesel.
I would get the V8 too but its over my budget.
