X2 2025 BMW X2 Spyshots

The BMW X2 is a subcompact luxury crossover SUV produced by BMW since 2017. It is marketed as a sports activity coupé (SAC), it is considered a sportier and less practical alternative to the X1, as is the case with other even-numbered X models with its respective counterparts.

I agree, and don´t forget the lack of the iDrive-controller. What the heck is the thing about that enormous volume knob? Actually, they could just disable it, since you can adjust the volume from the steering wheel (the volume knob should off course be placed together with the eight short cuts that missing).
Yes. The placement of the media controls is weird. I think they are for the co-pilot/Spotify DJ Riding shotgun.

iDrive-controller is 100000% safer than touch. Touch systems do not belong in cars at all, and works only well when stationary.

I don't see much of a difference to be honest. Tech controls are way faster than senselessly scrolling through endless menus, and in that sense much safer.

iDrive knob has had its time. Tech is requiring change for BMW, and 20 years has been a good run for a piece of tech......incredibly astounding in fact.

Hmm now that I see it, have you guys noticed the new X2 seems to have entirely new rearlights graphics? They seem to be the same as the LCI X5 frontlight graphics and a bridge to what was presented on the Dee Concept.

I agree, I think that having the two options is an indication that the touch raises doubts, that the X1/X2 does not have it seems to me to be a mistake, perhaps it has to do with its output just when there was and is a shortage of chips?

Now with what's coming (DEE), with everything on the windshield obviously there is no direct touch, so either the knob will return (although it never left, more than in these two models), or will they invent some new type of interface?

The mouse on PCs and laptops has been around for 40 years and there's nothing to beat it, laptop touchpads are crap, and the iDrive knob is what a car mouse should be like, maybe something in the DEE will beat it.. ...

Nothing new.. but earlier today...

edit: Actually sounded pretty good, I only realised it was there when I heard it go past. M35i I guess.

After more than 1 year with the S...i realised that you are right...when i had the mechanicals controls in the past i still watched the screen to see what im doing..with touch, its almost the same thing..but nowadays the only complain i have ( IF is still the case) not to have ONLY touch AC on manual climate cars, thats all...I use the A/C unit touch i think twice per year, everything on auto is working beautiful and i bet its the case on every modern car...twice per year...again, this is an issue for manual AC cars if they only have touch...but for the rest..
The only issue is that screens still feel and look cheap compared to the metal buttons

Agree on the safer part, but they don't care about that anymore these days, so what can you do?
Guess we're not far from the point where screens have to shut down by law while driving. Just way too much shit going on these days.

And iDrive knobs only work with a fairly limited set of controls.

What will be the reason behind this, is at least a little strange...

Official: Production of the BMW iX2 U10 will begin in 2023

"In addition, since the iX1 is not offered in the US, those in charge assume there will be high demand for the BMW iX2: in the all-important US market, it will be the brand's entry-level electric car in years to come and should therefore be in high demand"

There's no way it's going to be that ugly...

Well... judging by some of BMWs work the last couple of years.
These days I am more suprised if I still like it.

But I am one of those geesers who still appreciate the sporty, classic elegance of e34, e39 etc
