All is good when you see them iDrive rotary ....to date only the X1 doesn’t have it and I don’t understand why.

That’s all they’ve sold?!? I see the B segment crossovers all over… I would think that China/ US themselves would consume around 2 million in that time…. surprisingEvolutionary as expected. Not a bad thing. Over a million customers since the introduction of the first X3 E83 in 2003 wouldn’t have it any other way. I wonder if this is going to be the first Mexican assembled X3?
It’s hard to believe that the E60,First modern 6er and first X3 generation celebrate their 20th anniversary this year. That’s all they’ve sold?!? I see the B segment crossovers all over… I would think that China/ US themselves would consume around 2 million in that time…. surprising
A totally unnecessary reference that only manages to make me feel oldIt’s hard to believe that the E60,First modern 6er and first X3 generation celebrate their 20th anniversary this year.
9 years lifecycle?
Rumored lineup from the other website:
- In production 08/24-10/33
- All types of drivetrains, but will focus on electric motors and hybrids. There will still be X3M (G97).
- Potential model names: X3 20, X3 20 xDrive, X3 20d xDrive, X3 30 xDrive, X3 30e xDrive, X3 40d xDrive, X3 M50 xDrive, X3 M50e xDrive (note the drop of "i" from the gas models' names and the overall rearrangement of designations).
- 2 US gas models to start (likely 30 xDrive and M50 xDrive)
- No new engines
- A step up in luxury (standard comfort access, Iconic Glow exterior like on the 5 series, fancier interior materials, driver aids matching the current X5 -- also means no L3 autonomy, the best audio is still HK, ID8 dash), M50x also has standard M Sport suspension (adaptive optional), different wheels, and the usual M interior and exterior parts.
I think the X3 40d xDrive (B57) is likely to be a direct competitor to the upcoming GLC 400 d 4MATIC (OM656).

BMW's latest rim designs are mostly on point. Also, I have noticed that the headlight graphics are somewhat an evolution from the G01 and G02 LCI instead of adopting the U11's daylight layouts.
