This might end up looking good or even great. The problem is we have already seen what comes after it from BMW. And it’s way superior in terms of design.

Heck, even with the camo on, the iX3 looks better than the X3 mules.

It retains the iDrive Knob, that's good.
Taking all the previous X3 generations it's fair to say it will have a unique interior as always, I'm curious

When is planned launch?
Good question, the "news" that abounds is the great NK iX3 in 2025, could it be that this one comes out a little earlier...end of 2024? the mules appeared much earlier on the street so it could be

If they are starting closed door previews in March and with production starting in August. Possibly June-July?

And iX3 will not be launched before 2025?
According to the available data......

The Neue Klasse begins: BMW's 2025 iX3
The new 2026 BMW iX3: what to expect
It’s telling that BMW Is launching the crossover first: expect i3 in showrooms in autumn 2025,

Why does an X3 need a closed door preview!?!
So that no one sees its ugliness?

Ynguldyn's update on G45:

'The top post now lists all planned versions of G45. The most notable part is what it doesn't include: there will be no 30x outside North America, or any diesel larger than 20d. BMW will likely push the hybrid as the sweet spot for Europe.'

or any diesel larger than 20d. BMW will likely push the hybrid as the sweet spot for Europe.
The best diesel engine in history is on its deathbed. It's strange to imagine a world without BMW's sublime straight 6 diesels.
It was the engine of choice for decades in my family. With the exception of the 2.5 TDS in the 90s they were all extremely reliable. On average my father does 80k km. annualy and all 3.0s were completely trouble free up until 270k-300k when he usually changed for a new one.
All were hard driven workhorses(my father still enjoys spirited driving to this day) yet still delivered phenomenal efficiency.

It's a lament hardly different to when we had to say goodbye to BMW's NA inline sixes.
It's sad that the 3.0d is no more in an X3 but I can't recall when last I saw a current-gen X3 with that engine. X5 - totally different story.
