Z Series 2023 BMW Z4 Coupe Concept!

The BMW Z models are a line of roadsters manufactured by German automaker BMW. The Z stands for Zukunft (German for future), and has been produced in four different series with six generations consisting of roadster, coupé, sports car, and concept variants. The introduction of the M Coupé and M Roadster in the Z3 line marked the first of the Z series to have a high-performance BMW M variant. The first generation Z4 also continued to offer M Coupé and M Roadster variants. The current Z4 (G29) uses BMW's (B58B30) inline-six, its platform is the basis for the current Toyota Supra.
Elegant Exclusivity. I think this concept might have been better served as an 8.
A four seater GT Shooting Brake would have been the perfect opportunity to illustrate how Alpina are going to fit in between BMW and BMW M. But by using Alpina to create exclusive bespoke products.

Hi Scott27,

a long time i did not followed your posts here, because i was more reading another forum were you used to be more active if i remember correctly. Anyway from my very old memories, you are like The Stieg: maybe you are an Insider maybe i m wrong, but your info are very accurate on BMW. The handbags showcased in the pictures are top cool and would perfectly fit in the boot of my new Z which freshly joined the family. Where can I get it?

Yawn :sleep::sleep:
Zombie body shape of a zombie car that's in a zombie market(SLK and TT discontinued).

Visit our website to see more photos of the car and then buy an XM.

This is the equivalent of McDonalds showing a concept of a risotto that is economically unviable for all their restaurants.
Come on, you can appreciate the enormous design work inherent between anything to close it with a roof and this sculpture that pretends to be eternal, and that wonderful kink, this is to be in production now!
Those wheels look similar to a new design from
The i5/5.
It was the first thing I thought when I saw them, they could be those perfectly
it is a remind/tribute of Alpina. The text of the media mentions Alpina.
Paving the way for Alpina now part of the BMW Group....

You are answering your same concern.
That's exactly what they did with a much more up to the task base model, the Z4 cabrio is more bespoke than the 8 series in its own right, it looks and feels more modern than the 8 series, more special.

I like if you relate it to what will be Alpina with things like this, bring them, it is the most beautiful Hatchback I have seen in decades, so up market, so sharp that it cuts, I love it and I would have it without thinking.
Just think about this Z4 Coupe concept with M boot/fender flares and a quad tip exhaust system plus a proper diffusor! A home run! Missed opportunity imho!
I think they were looking for design-oriented attention rather than muscle, the entire rear part is remodeled so making it more "M" was not a problem, I think it is in its right measure

Instantly worthy successor to the Z3 / Z4 coupe

The rear end is well executed, but this thing is long overdue, since it almost literally carries over the front end of the series production Z4 (shutline included) which has already been out for 4-5 years and is one of those huge design disappointments compared to the exciting show-car (same if a new production 8er-based derivative was now suddenly shown, same with the €750,000 3.0 CSL which turned out to be an M4-based Quasimodo lookalike)

Unless they actually go ahead and release it, which is highly unlikely on an already withering segment, this really doesn't make any more sense than "We had to show a new concept-car but ran out of money/ideas".

I think the luggage are designed exclusively for the concept.

And then:

Awful, dreadful proportions (and surfacing, details, etc). BMW can't stop making ridicule of itself.
Now; incoming two pages of wax lyrical on "disruptive, aggressive, vanguard, forward thinking, free from chains, pushing the envelope, state of the art, edgy, outside the box" by the same guys repeating ad nauseam, defending "their" brand.

It is a constant, I am not saying it for you but in general, I could search and find dozens of literal texts to yours for each of the ones you posted at the time of its launch, or even much worse, especially about the Clown Shoe, after that the flame surfacing of the first Z4 was crap, then the Z4 hard top was girly but everyone had to give up.

The same today, I don't know what expected it to be, but it's much better than I expected

A guy that used to work with me sold his 120d for a Z3 2.8i Coupe. He said it was like a super hatchback. And I did see a point about that sentence.

Really like what BMW has done here. A pitty the front end is still far from the concept.

I think the luggage are designed exclusively for the concept.
Thanks a lot for your quick reply. I will check with a client if he can produce 2 pieces bespoke. A lovely Italian leather to replace the tissue, and a saddlery Swedish brown leather would make the job nicely.

As it happened with the previous ones, having been conceived as "roadsters", the resistance to torsion was mentioned as a great point in favor because it increased even more with a roof that it does not need, favoring the driving dynamics, in addition to the fact that it weight must be the same or less

there's more visual mass than I'd care for around the rear haunches. otherwise, it's fine. not terrible, but neither lustworthy nor intriguing.

Looks like I found the source :
In the interior, precisely crafted leather surfaces from Italian manufacturer Poltrona Frau create a luxurious ambience. The compartment behind the seats provides ample room to stow luggage for spontaneous trips; the luggage itself was also exclusively custom-made at the Schedoni leather workshop in Modena.
