Exactly LOL. A pipe dream indeed in such a small space of time.

For me, BMW has finally delivered the revolution one has been waiting for over a decade, since F01 and G11 were just evolutions of E65.

I remember that Bangle and AvD once explained years back, that BMW tried to do revolution every 2 generations for the 7er.

Guess they broke that rule with the G11, as it simply continued the same ethos. E9 and E23 were one duo, replaced by E32 and E38.

Or maybe like I've said once before, that E23/E32/E38 are part of the same design family and maybe E65/F01/G11 are their own? E9 in not being a 7er, stands on its own maybe?

When Jozef Kaban started this G70 project in 2017 as head of BMW brand, I failed to catch on how serious he was, about really moving forward the 7er nameplate and leaving a lot of safe stuff behind.

Seems like history just repeats itself. 2022 is the new 2001/02 in terms of media controversy on a new 7er generation. But at the end of the day, the magnimus level of advancements, will sell the product.

Its 12 years later since I owned an E65 for short time. I remember when I first got it that I was fascinated by that 7er. Everything after was just a slightly better 5 series.

I hope that BMW bring up again something fascinating aesthetically and technically.

Interesting, I did not remember that it is the former Yugoslavia, it looks like a beautiful and very historic place, I thought that with 3.5 mill. we were from the least populated countries in the world, what a coincidence one of my great grandparents was Yugoslav
