Hyundai’s luxury brand Genesis is gearing up for its first production SUV, which is begin to put Genesis on the map. The interior of the brand’s first SUV was recently capture in South Korea, giving us our best look yet at the 2021 GV80.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the production GV80 interior looks inspired by the GV80 Concept that Genesis revealed in 2017. This means there’s a floating, widescreen display in the center of the dash and an otherwise clean dash panel layout. A rotary dial shifter is found on the center console, while the dash panel seems to house capacitive touch buttons.

The photos first appeared on the a South Korean automotive website.

Despite the revealing spy shots, not a lot is known about the production GV80. It’s expected to compete with the likes of the BMW X5, Mercedes-Benz GLE and Lexus RX350. It is still unclear if the GV80 will be based on the same rear-wheel-drive architecture that underpins the G80 sedan or if Genesis will leverage a modified version of the Hyundai Santa Fe platform.

Regardless, expect optional all-wheel-drive on the GV80. It’s also expected to leverage at least one V-6 powertrain.

Expect the exterior design to also follow the GV80 Concept closely, with a few Bentley cues thrown in. Bentley’s former chief designer, Luc Donckerwolke, now serves in the same position at Genesis.

The 2021 Genesis GV80 is slated to be revealed sometime in 2020 as a 2021 model.

Looks like a Bentley....

Now it was always obvious they were going to copy some other car....but why pick one of the ugliest SUVs on the market to copy?

I think it looks like Bentley is the inspiration brand for Genesis as they even imitate the badge of the Bentley in their emblem. So unoriginal and its a poor showing from Hyundai, they trying to following Chinese copying other brands.

Pathetic indeed. How insecure can you possibly be?

Genesis logo looks better than Bentley logo :D

Mini also has wings on its logo, Morgan too, Aston Martin too. And I would go with logo like that, they can make better.

Car seems sexy.

I guess when you have NO heritage or lineage you have nothing to lose by shamelessly copying any and everyone. The product itself may be sound but the image is a trash-joke.

I have to agree with you, to me the benteyga does not cut it, Luc Donckerwolke was cheif designer at Bentley along with Sang yup lee, you saw the influence of Bentley on the g90 refresh, really hoped they did not go that route with the gv80, but they did...

Some more images leaked. I has Audi Q7 and Volvo XC90 styling resemblance.
