Ami 2020 Citroën AMI

The Citroën Ami is a two-door, battery-electric quadricycle marketed by Citroën since 2020. Designed by Pierre Leclercq and named after the model produced between 1961 and 1978, the production model was previewed by the "Ami One" concept car. Both the Ami and Ami One were developed simultaneously by Groupe PSA (now Stellantis) and Altran. The vehicle is manufactured at the facility in Kenitra, Morocco and is equipped with a compact electric motor located at the front, generating 6 kilowatts (8.0 hp; 8.2 PS) to drive the front wheels.

Wow. It's tupperwear on wheels. The plastic in the interior looks unforgivable.

Waouw, yesterday i was complaining about production DS paling in front of the concept cars, and now this show the main brand is completely doing the opposite. This is very ballsy, even though i think of it more as a big closed quad than a real automobile.

I like what I'm seeing as I love small cars in general, but will this thing go into production? and if it does, will it succeed where the Smart couldn't?

It can be argued that the comparison isn't 100% appropriate, but that car came to my mind the moment I saw the pictures of this concept.

It looks like a cross over between a BMW Isetta and a mini fridge.

:D

The mulți purpose dash-top utility/storage tray is the most appealing aspect of this car to me.

... And I don't mean that in a bad way, that **** is useful!

Strange, that they use the AMI name. The original was not very successful, its biggest problem (after the looks) was the weak engine from the 2 CV.
