Honestly, what the f#*k is wrong with Vettel? Any kind of close-quarters racing and the man loses it.
It has truly gotten to the point in which one actually expects Sebastian Vettel to make major mistakes. It's become sadly predictable that he will either go agricultural, engage in a demolition derby or both. It's become glaringly apparent that he is in dire need of a major reset. Perhaps a sabbatical following the end of this season. He can then decide whether to venture a return in 2021 or finalize his retirement from the sport. I'm quite sure that the Scuderia Ferrari will release him from his contract at the end of this season should he wish to go. Or perhaps they will release him regardless.

Just when I thought Ferrari might have the better car on this track, this happens !
MGU-H air flow issue for Seb and no time set on Q1, Fuel issue for Leclerc and no time set for Q3.
People call Mercedes team lucky, I call them will managed and organized.
Ferrari needs to clear this mess, Redbull are catching up quickly with them.

Just a note, Redbull progress through the season is outstanding, just thinking that Max can beat Bottas on Q3 was something I will never imagine, the car was so far from Mercedes and Ferrari at the beginning of the season.
Max is certainly squeezing that 0.5 second gap from Gasly out of that car.

While not backing a horse per se, it would please me to see Max clutching a victory today.

I would love to see that too. The weather seems to be much colder than the last 2 days, thus less tire wear. Max will be starting on the Soft compound, which means he will be having short advantage of overtaking Lewis, cool weather shall extend his Soft compound stint.
Will there be rain ? if it happens things will change dramatically.

There's been heavy rain at the circuit this morning. I believe it's raining now and the Porsche Cup support race was flagged due to rain.
Spa has seen a 5 hour stoppage in the 24 because of biblical rain... Hockenheim isn't *that* far away.

And not wanting to gloat...but it is refreshing not seeing Team Mercedes-AMG Petronas dominating a race for a change. Not to worry, M-B fans. They'll be back with a fury (I'm afraid
. But watch out for young Max. He's certainly a very real deal). I'm feeling oddly unempathetic for Charles Leclerc today. For some unexplainable reason, I can't say that I like the fellow. Just the way it is I reckon.
Could this be the race that will finally direct Vettel to more fruitful pastures following a looong slump ? I do so sincerely hope so. I LOVE comebacks and he was absolutely stellar today.
