I would like to see a chop of the rear of the Benz wih the logo just above the chrome strip, and the licence plate just below that chrome strip.
I think the rear looks a bit plain now...

I`m going to agree with Sky on this one. In photos the exterior of both is a draw imo...The Beemer gets my vote with the interior. It is a little more refined.

I`m willing to bet the Mercedes looks much better in the metal than it does in photos.

Man, I`m with you on the star just above the chrome strip.
Seems like a misplacement where it is. I never liked it in the new S-Coupe either.
In the older Mercs, the star was above the chrome strip. The designers should have followed that tradition. Looks way better imo.

Interesting how GLE Coupe looks lower in the pics (compared to X6) although it's actually 3cm (1.2") higher. Bigger wheels, longer greenhouse & less wedgy lines and shape obviously all contribute to that.

X6 in a heartbeat. MB dropped the ball on the GLE. It's half baked and not anywhere near as attractive as it should have been given MB's latest efforts. I just can't get over that blob of a rear end, total lack of dynamism in the vehicles stance and lack of expression/aggression in the front end. It almost looks happy.

I really like this BMW. And I was never a fan of the last X6.

They're both sexy as hell IMO, but I kinda like the GLE more. Mercedes gave it the right size wheels to make it look just right.

The GLE has the better looking exterior by far, it's front looks more sporty and aggressive, the new X6 light design is not as cohesive as the previous model and the front bumper with the X design bulges look dreadful, also I don't like that dropping kink down the back door, it looks out of place in the overall design. The Mercedes is the more prettier car and it's wheels fill the arches better. Interior wise I would choose the X6 as it appears more modern with nicer infotainment display and AC controls, and nicer use of leather on the knee pads.

Voted don't care for that class..having said that i think the GLE has better exterior while the X6 has better interior.

Previous X6 it would have been an easy win for the BMW, but as it is they're both really ugly.

I am waiting for the AMG vs M. The Mercedes GLE coupe looks pretty dull in normal guise.

The AMG is what I am waiting for. It should drop the bomb on this design and look even better than the sport pack.

I know what you mean, Sunny. Both cars hasn't the same exterior trim like similar pic comparisons we have seen in the past.
But for me the X6 is not disadvantaged because the GLE has the sport package.
But this is only my view.

Normally, I would be fire and brimstone over such dissimilar comparisons , but in this case that was actually a genuine question. There are so many freaking trims and lines and packages I kind of stopped keeping track.

Edit: Again out of curiosity, would this X6 be the equivalent of the red GLE?

Never understood why anybody would consider getting one of these things. If you want the best driving experience and a 4 door coupe, there are several examples now you can choose from. If you want an elevated driving position, just get a standard SUV/mini-SUV and you get the practical aspects of such vehicles. I just don't appreciate this class of vehicles. My personal opinion is that vehicles like the X6 and X4 simply don't look that great either. And MB's version looks even worse, IMO.

Not into this type of vehicle at all,but think GLE Coupe has better exterior between these two and kinda believe it will be even better IRL.

GLE has the better exterior for me by a small margin. X6 has the better interior by a considerable margin. In the end, I'm going to stick to my principles and vote "don't care" as I still feel that these are most pointless kinds of cars.
