The Land Rover Range Rover Sport, generally known as the Range Rover Sport, is a mid-size luxury SUV produced by Land Rover, later Jaguar Land Rover. The first generation (codename: L320) started production in 2005, and was replaced by the second generation Range Rover Sport (codename: L494) in 2013, which was replaced by the third generation Range Rover Sport (codename: L461) in 2022.
Will be a great and bold evolution, but if they fail to update the infotainment system and don't give us a v8 diesel, I won't be a repeat purchaser.

These are the best pictures yet of the all-new Range Rover Sport. The new model has been spotted testing in the UK, in the run-up to its global debut, expected to be at the New York Motor Show in late March.
The mule spotted here sheds much of its disguise, showing how the new Range Rover Sport will look when it arrives in the UK later in the year.
At the front, the new Range Rover Sport features a similar headlight design to the new Range Rover, but with narrower lamp units.
However, the new Sport’s nose is closer in style to the smaller Range Rover Evoque, with a similar two-bar grille, more aggressive foglight design and thick plastic front bumper protection plate.
The Sport gets a similar clamshell bonnet to the Range Rover, which isn’t interrupted by the front wheelarches as it is on the Evoque. However, instead of the Range Rover’s controversial fake door vent design detail, the Sport gets a vent in its front wing, like the Evoque.
Towards the rear, the Sport gets smaller rear lights and a more obviously sloping roofline than the Range Rover, and a chunky rear bumper and small rear wing like the Evoque.
Inside, it will offer a similarly luxurious, hi-spec interior to the Range Rover, along with the latest Terrain Response 2 system. For this generation, the Sport will be offered with either five or seven seats.
As you can see in our pictures, the main difference is that the Sport uses a traditional gear shifter, rather than the rotary gear selector used by the Range Rover and Evoque. This will allow the driver to shift gears manually by pulling the level back to go up a gear, and push forward to go down.
The previous Range Rover Sport used the same Integrated Body Frame platform as the Discovery. However, the new car will switch to the aluminium platform of the new Range Rover, which will mean that the new car weighs considerably less than today’s 2,535kg car.
The same 258bhp 3.0-litre V6 diesel as in the Range Rover will be offered, along with a high-power 5.0-litre V8 petrol model. A nine-speed automatic gearbox is also expected. Prices are expected to start at around £55,000.

That side profile is just as classic as the 911 or the SL now, wow.

It is going to look like a giant Evoque, which is pretty much what the RR Sport should be.

It's much more different than the standard RR, compared to the previous generation. I think I like it!

It seems JLR made the mistake of having the new RRS detailed off corporate grounds. The shots were taken at a NYC detailer. This is the actual show car.

It looks perfect. Now its my favourite SUV. It looks even better than normal Range Rover, and much better than ML,GL and Cayenne. So my top is this: 1.RR Sport 2. Range Rover 3. Mercedes GL 4. Porsche Cayenne

I thought that it might have been stolen at first... The Range Rover Sport is actually one of the most stolen luxury cars in New York too. :)

Evoque on steroids! However, it looks good. Considering the design, Evoque looks weird, this one looks well-balanced.
