The 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe isn't expected to be a major update, but now you don't really need to wait any longer to see what's coming at the Detroit Auto Show next week. The latest teaser video all but drops the curtain, stopping short only of showing the whole car.

Not that it really matters--we've seen the whole car before, on several occasions. We've also seen the powertrain specs, leaving very little beyond live images and first-hand impressions to add to the pile.

BTR Hyundai Genesis Coupe for SEMA

Hyundai and Blood Type Racing (BTR) have announced plans to introduce a high-performance Genesis Coupe at the SEMA Motor Show.

Dressed in Candy Red, the car will feature a wide body kit that includes extended fenders. The model will also have a front lip spoiler, a rear diffuser, a rear wing and 19-inch alloy wheels with Toyo tires.

The sporty styling continues in the cabin as there's Sabelt racing seats, a sport steering wheel and Tanabe OLED Revel gauges. The rear seat has also been removed and replaced by a Cusco roll cage.

Power is provided by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine which has been equipped with forged connecting rods, forged pistons and GSC Stage 2 Cams. The engine also boasts a custom intake manifold, an optimized ECU and a Precision Turbo turbocharger. Other highlights include upgraded fuel injectors, a dual exhaust system and a custom intercooler. Thanks to these modifications, it develops more than 800 bhp (596 kW).

The six-speed manual has also been upgraded as it features a competition clutch, an upgraded flywheel and a short throw shifter - among other things.

Last but not least, the Genesis Coupe will be outfitted with a coilover suspension, strut tower braces and Wilwood brakes.
